Daily Battles

The school roof is blissfully free of noise and nonsense. Rose climbs to the top of the rooftop exit, giving one last mutter of exertion as she hauls herself up on the flat surface.

"There we go-"

She stands and surveys the school grounds, her longer-than-regulation skirt billowing in the breeze. Her hands on her hips, she allows a self-satisfied chuckle to escape.

"Woooow, looking suuuuper cool up there~"

An all-too-familiar teasing voice snaps Rose out of her reverie as she looks down to the fenced-off rooftop and glares daggers at the purple-haired girl she sees standing by the entrance. She huffs, and sits down somewhat slobbishly, one knee raised. and a palm supporting her face as she leans lazily.

"What the hell do you want? Don't you have your army of slobberin' fans to lead on or somethin'?"

Her disgruntled words are met with a breezy giggle.

"Oh, nothing much~ Just wanted to let you know that you're due to fall behind me in grades, measurements and abnormality victories."

A Few seconds pass as Tasha watches the tips of her rival's ears turn pink, a tell-tale sign that her taunts had met their mark. She peeks at Rose from beneath her eyelashes, eyes glittering with mischief as she prepares her parting shot.

"Oh, and when the wind blows, I can see eeeeverything, by the way. Nice colour, the teddy bear print suits you~"

The taller girl splutters in anger and pulls herself to her feet to retort but the door has already swung heavily shut.
Tasha's annoyingly carefree, high-pitched laugh rings out from the stairwell.

"YOU'RE LYING-!"

Of course, Rose's words have no audience left to reach.
