"I became such a strange shape, trying to fit in. That I no longer recongize myself in the mirror."

Sirius was now struggling to figure out how could he fix the situation that was thrown at his feet. The situation was staring right back at him was his best friend, King, with a scowl on his face.

Former best friend? Sirirus wasn't even sure where they stand now. Equals? Friends? Lovers? Enemies? Any of these answers and Sirius would have said sure whatever floats your boat. Right now though, he was pretty sure him and King were enemies.

Earlier when he heard the backstage door fly open. he could not even get a hello out as King came in like a hurricane. His fur all brizzled up, his chest rising and falling, and a tightly clinched jaw, to say he was angry was an understatement

The air around them felt tense as the faint sound of the stadium's cheers surrounded them both as a blanket. It didn't offer security, it only offered the reality of the fact that Sirirus was now a star. A star that did something so careless he caused King to approach him.

The two stood facing each other for awhile. The silence was broken as King stabbed his finger into Sirirus's chest "So, do you really meant what you said?"

"What are you talking about," he looked away as his ears twitched. Wanting to play dumb Sirius softly spoke, "listen, we can talk about this when I'm not about to go on stage and get a drink together-"

King grabbed the collar of his shirt, feeling his clunched fists brush against his fur as he was pulled closeFeeling his breathing against his face, those eyes staring dangers right into him, Sirius felt his heart sank. "You seriously don't understand what I'm referring, do you? What you said about Astoria, that is what I am talking about and I want to hear from your mouth that you didn't mean it."

It dawned on him what King was refering to. "Shit...," he thought that interview he did last night wasn't going to be viral. So it would have been buried among the thousands of videos uploaded to Youtube. However, Sirius seeing how King was acting told him otherwise. He saw what he said about Astoria.

He knew what he said wasn't true. He didn't think Astoria was an idiot for running off after Jam n' Ram fest, he only said it to keep up appearances and to avoid anymore questions about her from the interviewerNot really thinking about how that would end up being the new title "Atomic Stardust states Astoria was a coward."

"I... Look, King, do you think I would mean it?" The moment he heard King scoff quietly, he got his answer. His gaze harded as he hissed out, "You do... wow, okay I see how it is then. Fuck you and your band then." He shoved King hard to get him to let go, but over did it as he saw the cinnadog hit the wall behind him. As the words left his mouth and his hands touched King, he wanted to reel it all back in. His temper got the best of him and now King was furious with him.

As his mouth opened to backtrack- to apologize and explain himself- , it shut tight as King's fist met his jaw. Feeling the pain crawl all over his face like thorns. His back met the hard cold ground with a loud whamp as his vision becoming blurry. Everything looked like stars and speckles as he tried to look up at King. He couldn't see his expression or understood what he was saying. It looked like he was trying to reach his hand down to help Sirius up.

Squinting through the haze, he saw his bandmates pouring out from the VIP room and gather around him. Joe and Vicent were glancing over him and their muffled sounding voices calling his name. Acer was exchanging some chosen words with King. Both of their voices fading away down the hall. His mind began to clear up as he finally understood the words said to him.

"Damn Sirius... the King nailed you hard. Maybe we have to cancel-"

"No. I'm fine," he snapped back then sighing," I'll still perform. Just give me a moment to get grounded again."

Joe held his paw, gently rubbing his fingers into the middle of his pad, "dude, seriously, you got hit in the head."

Sirius's eyes soften as he nuzzled his face with his nose, carefully pushing away his hand. "I'll be fine. I doubt that will be the last time I accidentally burn a bridge, so better get used to this."

Vicent squinted hard "at least go get yourself checked up before we go up."

"Alright alright... I will." Glancing behind him, he saw King give him one last look. It would have been easier to shallow if it was anger, hate, or even digust. But it was betrayal.

Sirius saw the last connection he had to his past disappear before him. A former friend, an idol, now just another stranger.
