[WoR] World Fair 2023: Grand Tour!

Oruvunen, or rather 'Mr. Plum' and Gwen want to show you around this world they have created. Do you oblige them this request? Draw or write about your Reosean interacting with Mr. Plum and Gwen (or just one of them).

“Stop pushing!” Sono, a large male puller yelped out as a stranger stomped his tail. 

Thankfully for him, his two companions where nearby, another male puller named Cereos, and a smaller female named Kumara. Cereos threw his weight against the “assailant”, which was more so just a clueless fair goer to release his friend from his trap. 

Sono looked back to his friends with a weak smile, “Thanks, can we try to go somewhere a bit more quiet though?” His gaze seemed tired and the two complied with no questions asked.

“Follow me, I can find a way out.” Cereos spoke with a bolstering voice as he held his head high to chart a course for his companions through the overcrowded pathway of the world fair. 

Sono and Kumara stayed close, at one point having to hold onto one another’s tails as to not get shoved apart in the chaos of the crowd. With a sudden burst of speed the group escaped the hoard, emerging behind a stall and away from the chaos that was unfolding. 

“And to think it’s all because they thought they saw Gwen…” Kumara sighed while panting slightly, it was a lot of work just freeing themselves plus so many bodies packed so closely together made for a miserable and hot climate. 

“Some people, am I right?” A sudden unfamiliar voice piped up from the shadows that layed behind the stall. The trio’s gaze darted over to see who had spoken just to be gobsmacked by its source, it was Gwen!

“Wait, is it really you? Gwe-” Sono began but Gwen muffled any more words with one of her tails before speaking herself, “Hey listen pal, I wanted to get out of the chaos too for a bit. Don’t need you saying my name too loudly and getting anymore unwanted attention.” 

As she slowly removed her tail from Sono’s mouth he let out a sneeze, caused by her fur tickling his nose. Kumara and Ceroes looked in aw at the small chaser in front of them. She had been one of the creators of this magical fair, I mean she was basically a celebrity after all, or at least the swarm of fans seemed to think so. 

“You don’t want to interact with them?” Kumara spoke a bit more quietly, not wanting to draw any more attention to them.

“It’s not anything like that, I love my fans and love the fact me and Plum made such a successful fair but…” She trailed off, as though a hurricane within her mind was at work clouding her thoughts. 

“But it’s a lot isn’t it?” Cereos spoke up last, his words filled with compassion as Gwen nodded at his statement.

“The fair has been going for weeks now and I am still getting swarmed by people. It just gets to be a lot sometimes you know?” She had a certain sadness to her eyes, or rather tiredness which betrayed her unhappy feelings she held within. 

“So you just tend to find places to hide or?” Sono inquired, curious how she was able to avoid the masses and still run such a successful venture. 

“Well mostly I just take breaks between it all to cool off and just breath. The life of a celebrity can be a hard one!” She laughed half heartedly as she plopped to the ground seemingly trying to rest for what little time she had. 

The trio all sat down, careful to not sit too close to her and just enjoy the silence behind the fair stall for what felt like an eternity. After a bit Gwen rose back to her paws with a new energized look in her eyes, “Thank you for being so kind and not overwhelming, the world needs more people like you.” She winked playfully causing the trio to all smile warmly to her.

“Of course! I’m not a celebrity but I can’t imagine having to hide out just to get a quick fifteen minute break. I don’t envy you, that's for sure.” Kumara spoke while chuckling softly. 

Gwen nodded at her comment before looking the three up and down, “I know you guys have been here a lot and seen most of the fair, but would you like a private tour perchance? Would be nice to show off my work without all the hecticness that follows it.” 

Sono and Kumara were surprised by their offer but before they could reply Cereos cut in, “Would we! It would be an honor!” And with that, the group all began to file behind the small chaser, who seemed back to her normal excited self as she led the group back into the frey of the reos world fair.
