Looker might be ooc in this so uhmmm oops! and. sorry if you actually know things about police interrogations and this doesn't actually read like one lol

Also I need to work on the toyhouse world with lore and stuff. I feel like some of this doesn't make complete sense :(

Not sure how i feel about the title i gave this so i might change that later. for now i just wanna post this lmao

“Hands off.” The commander glared. “I came here willingly, you don’t need to get pushy about it.” They kept the glare on their face as the door shut behind them.

Looker cleared his throat quietly before looking up. The commander was seated across from him, and watched as he turned on the machine beside him.

Transcript Begins.

L: First, I will need to verify your identity. Please state your name, date of birth, and position.

KS: Position? Alright then. Kitahoshi Svetich, September 29th 1996, Commander Ceres of Team Galactic. I’d appreciate you using that name for this.

L: Svetich?

KS: Yes? Let me guess, the info in front of you is outdated.

L: …Either way, that confirms your identity. ‘Ceres’.

KS: Don’t say it like that.
What exactly do you want to question me about? I’m not interested in handing out an itemized list of reasons to arrest me.

L: It’ll only be a few questions. What can you tell me about the actions of Team Galactic?

KS: Be a bit more specific, and I’ll see.

L: How about we start with the attack on Lake Valor?

KS: The what? …Oh, right. The… intent of that was the capture of the Lake Guardian Azelf, as well as Mesprit and Uxie from the other lakes in order to create the Red Chain. Capture of the three succeeded, but the other lakes weren’t attacked in the same manner. Lake Valor has refilled now, correct?

L: It has. But that does not mean Team Galactic is off the hook for-

KS: I was asking to see if there would be any funding needed for repairs, although I suppose you wouldn’t know that.

L: What happened with the Lake Guardians?

KS: They were released later that night.

L: Why release them so soon?

KS: The Pokémon had served their purpose, and were released by… I don’t remember their name. A trainer from outside of Team Galactic. They had permission from the Admiral to do so, but they were still trespassing in our building at the time.

L: The Admiral?

KS: Cyrus Akagi. I feel like it’s a waste of time to be explaining most of this- is this not info you already have?

L: We only have a small amount of knowledge. The red chain you mentioned, it failed from what we have gathered. Is this true?

KS: Yes.

L: Do you know why?

KS: I’d have to theorize, and I have other things to worry about.

L: Are there any plans for Team Galactic to create another red chain?

KS: Not that I’m aware of.

L: That you’re aware of? Who in your organization would be making one without your knowledge?

KS: I don’t know, Charon maybe? I heard something about him getting arrested, but I don’t know if that’s true.

L: Charon, you… who are the other commanders of Team Galactic?

KS: I’m not disclosing that.

L: Kitahoshi, you know this is a police interrogation.

KS: I said- are you serious? What kind of professionalism is this? It’s one thing that I asked you to call me Ceres, but do you not know basic courtesy? At the very least have the respect of referring to me by my family name. I am not your friend.
And I do not care if you want to threaten me. Go ahead, arrest me for not cooperating. I’m sure even with this mess Team Galactic can cover my bail. But I think we both have better things to do, don’t we? So why don’t you save yourself the trouble.

L: ‘The trouble’ does not bother me. My job is to deal with criminals like you.

KS: Like me? I gave you the name of the man you want to go after. So unless you want my job of cleaning up the mess he left, I suggest you think about how you choose to go forward.

L: Do you mean Cyrus Akagi?

KS: I don’t believe I’ve mentioned anyone else, have I?

L: Just because you give me a name and a title does not mean-

KS: Do you really think that arresting me or the other commanders does anything for ‘justice’? That putting any of us in a cell fixes anything? I don’t doubt that you do want to make the world a better place- but I need you to think about whether you want to pick up these broken pieces of glass with your bare hands or not. You’re much better off staying out of the mess.
With your attitude it’s a real shame that you work for Interpol. There’s surely a better place for you to spend your time.

L: I’m not interested in hearing your pitch for Team Galactic.

KS: And I’m not interested in hiring you. Don’t flatter yourself.

L: Then what is your point?

KS: We’re both pawns, Looker. Just not expendable ones. Interpol has its use for you, like how the Admiral had his use for me. But ultimately, everything runs out of use eventually.

L:

KS: You may want to turn off that little machine you’ve got there. My goal isn’t to get you in trouble with your superiors.

L: I’m sure no one is going to be pleased if a transcript ends mid interrogation.

KS: I think the interrogation is over, Looker. I gave you the important information.

Transcript Ends.

The two sat in silence as Looker turned off the machine. Once it was off Ceres let out a sigh.. “Now that this is more… confidential in a way, I do hope that Interpol will begin to learn from its failures. To start, I must say that your organizations confidentiality is not very strong. I mean, I know that witnesses complicate things sometimes and something like an NDA never truly stops anyone but…”

“What are you trying to say?”

“Interpol’s track record is not kept quiet. And neither is yours, for that matter. If I remember correctly… the last few missions you’ve been on have failed? Makes me surprised that you were sent out for this one… although that one in Alola especially stood out to me.”

Looker was silent.

“An incident in Haina Desert that resulted in the death of-”

“Stop.”

“Alright.”

“…”

Ceres hesitated for a moment before asking another question, “Can I just ask… Murder or Aliens?”

“…What?”

“Y’know.”

“I… am not allowed to talk about that.”

“Understandable. You don’t seem like the type to commit a murder, so I’ll just make my assumptions and give you the benefit of the doubt.”

The room fell silent without Ceres talking. Looker was staring down at the table, avoiding Ceres’s gaze. They stared at the wall for a moment before switching gears. “I do worry now that if Interpol has access to my personal data, that it’s about as confidential as that.”

Looker set down the paper he was reading off of before and gritted his teeth. “I wont enter any of it in the system.”

“Name, birthday, and position. Already in that transcript.”

“Oh, right. I can’t do anything about that.”

“It’s fine. If that gets leaked somewhere I’ll at least get a kick out of it. A lot of celebrities have public birthdays anyways…” Ceres shrugged. “Anyways, do you plan on pursuing Cyrus?”

“If we can get any leads, then yes.”

“Ha, I suppose that’s what…” Ceres stopped talking. They were trying to not reveal more than necessary. “If you find anything, let us know if you can. We’re just as clueless and… some of the others are worried about him.”

“He’s missing?”

Ceres sighed. “Yes. Ever since the incident at Spear Pillar.”

“I see. If we find him, I’m sure the arrest will make public news.”

“I’m sure it will…” Ceres leaned back into their chair for a moment, as they watched Looker. “Do you really not see it?”

“Hm?”

“The trend. You fail mission after mission, and then what? Nothing happens?”

“Interpol is low on officers.”

“Hm. I can’t Imagine why.” Ceres shook their head. “If you ask me, it looks like they’re low on people they can use as scapegoats. If interpol is low on officers, they shouldn’t attempt to handle these missions on their own, especially after getting their own officers killed.”

“That’s not for me to decide.”

“I know. Just something for you to think about… although I could be wrong. I think we’re finished here?”

“You’re free to go.” Looker nodded.

“Oh yeah, if you did arrest Charon you can keep him. Especially after that whole stunt he pulled.” Ceres stood up and headed to the door. “Good luck on finding those leads.”

Author's Notes

Kitahoshi walking into the room: Alright. Time to remind this guy of the horrors

Also, Kitahoshi referring to Cyrus as 'The Admiral' is inspired by Cyborb's AU! And also the fact that I've been playing too much Ace Combat (and Project Wingman) lately so my brain went ooo military ranks and titles

I am not going to pretend I understand military ranks worth a damn though
