Candy Shopping

Kon sighed, entering his house as he slipped off his blazer. That was it- another deal covered, another contract completed.. And now he had time to relax, as he stretched his arms a bit.

But- since he had taken care of everything he had needed to do contract wise, it left him with little to do now that he had time to spare. Taking a moment to think over what it was that he could do, they finally thought of something; The human realm! He hadn’t been there outside of a contract for awhile, and he decided to make a plan to take a portal there and maybe pay a visit to one of his favored shops.

Hiding his ears and his other beloved abnormal features, it only took a few short seconds before he resembled a human. Taking a glance in a nearby mirror Kon smiled to himself, pleased that he could even do this in the first place before manifesting a portal before him and then he was gone.

He reappeared in an alleyway, which was much better than appearing somewhere random in the streets, where all eyes would be on him- as much as he loved the attention it’d bring, he knew he couldn’t risk getting caught like that. Though- the thought was sometimes tempting..

It wasn’t a long walk, and he took in the scenery around him as he walked to his destination. He admired the calm scenery, albeit despite the loud ‘honk’ of car horns he sometimes heard.

There was always one specific sweet shop that he liked to visit, even during contracts, so he figured why not go there? Then again he visited so frequently it wasn't a surprise. A sweet smell filled the air when he entered the shop, a quiet 'chime' from the bell alerted the worker of his arrival.

"Hey again Kon, guess you can't keep away huh?" The shopkeeper said, who was currently restocking the shelves with different kinds of sweets. From blue and pink bonbons and strawberry laces to those small but funny looking fruit candies.

Kon chuckled and scratched the back of his head. "What can I say? I've a sweet tooth." He said, which wasn't entirely a lie. He always had a thing for sweets ever since he was born.

As he walked around the shop, he picked up a few different sweets he usually enjoyed and even a few he hadn't tried before while he made small talk with the worker. It wasn't anything special, just casual conversation if anything. Nothing more, nothing less..

After making his generous purchases, Kon happily left the store carrying a paper bag full of all sorts of sweets. He said goodbye to the worker as he was taking his leave. He peered into the bag at the stash, feeling happy with his supply of sweets.

Luckily he had time to just walk around before he warped back to the demon world via a portal from the alleyway. Kon had maybe only been able to set his bag down and return to his standard form when he was whisked away due to a summoning. 

Guess that time off didn't last as long as he would've liked. But hey- if he was offered money he had no complaints.
