Virus

Brutus looked down at the glass of water in her hand. The other held a bottle of medicine. 

She hated taking these meds. It made her head scream with agony, like hands clawing against the inner wall of her skull. Desperate to dig its way out of her head into the real world.

But it was an uncomfortable part of her nightly habits. It was like brushing her teeth. And as needed.
Ever since the age of 10; Brutus had horrifically graphic nightmares and visions.

They were mostly about death. Seeing corpses rot in front of her eyes, spirits desperately screaming out in pain. All the normal stuff.

What worried her was the ones not about that.

Sometimes she fantasizes about killing people. Well, fantasize isn’t the right word. It’s more- a intrusive thought. Something she never wanted to think about. 

But they still appear. Infecting her mind like a virus. 

That’s what the medication was for. To aid her against the virus poisoning her mind.
