"I don't really understand any of this science mumbo jumbo, doc."

Thresher's huff was quickly interrupted by Dr. Scope's guffaw. "Don't fret, my dear friend! That's why I'm here to guide you around my laboratory!" The scientist quickly turns his body to present all of his equipment in a flourish.

Despite the response, the brute continued to fidget with his mandatory lab coat and gloves as it itched against his scales. "Lead the way." The man said with a scoff, distracted with his attire.

"We can start out small for the day!" With the snap of his fingers, the doctor instantly shrinks down reach knee-height with Thresher. "Literally!"

"Gh-!" God. He was not gonna get used to that.

"It's simple! You will learn how to work with a microscope faster than I can say "Eureka!""

Dweeb.

Dr. Scope holds his arms up. "Pick me up and I'll guide you around."

What.

"I thought this was goddamn science class, not daycare." Thresher retaliated, peering down and crossing his arms.

"Well, I'm not gonna be the one to hold your hand and do ~everything~ for you! It's imperative for you to learn how to navigate a laboratory and its equipment pronto." The mini-doctor wags his finger at the man disapprovingly. "Plus, it's better to get hands on experience than just laze around and watching me."

Thresher groans, and begrudgingly picks up Dr. Scope with ease, arms outstretched to keep the little man a distance away from him. Just like holding a baby. Not wanting to make any more eye contact with the absurdity of this situation, he quickly rotates Scope.

"First, you need to find yourself a microscope! They're typically covered for safe keeping, and due to their weight, they're kept at the bottom cabinets." The shark manages to find a pair of them stored, setting Dr. Scope to the closest counter. "Now be very careful, these wonderful tools have glass and-"

SLAM!

"CAREFUL!" The impact shook up the doctor. "Be delicate! You mustn't be so hasty and careless!" Scrambling, he quickly runs up to take off the cover for inspection.

"Sorry." Thresher's tone didn't sound like he meant it. Hopefully he did.

"Thankfully everything is intact." Scope said with relief as he goes to plug it in on instinct. Thresher didn't mind the help. "Now be careful /now/ as you grab a microscope slide, cover slips, tissues, and a pipette. They should be in some nearby drawers."

Easy find, less of a heavy load as Thresher (carefully) sets everything down. "There."

"Now, grab a slide and make sure its clean." Easy. "Then, for demonstration purposes, lets use a bit of your head's tentacle goop as your first specimen! Get that pipette and-"

"Oh god. Are you cloning me?" The other warily asks.

"What kind of doctor do you think I am!? It's merely a microscope demonstration today! Plus, it's just a tiiiiny bit. Then you cover it up with a cover slip!" A pinching motion is made with his clawed fingers.

"Right, right." He grabs a bit of his tentacles slime and sets it down on a clean slide, covering it up with the slip.

"Now, this adjusts the height of the scope, these are the different lens which differ in how much it zooms in, and this where you set the specimen!" Dr. Scopes points to each part of the microscope. "Carefully set the specimen down on stage, adjust the height, and see the up close intricacies of your slime!"

"Don't say it like that-" Thresher manages to follow the doctor's orders, trying hard to not fumble with the slide in frustration. His tank peers closer to the eye piece so that the shark swims up to see.

The sight was... pretty cool. In Thresher's terms. The shimmer that he was used to refracted against the light as light shifted around the lens. It glimmered nicely against the deep purple.

He was caught in the view before a now-regular-sized Dr. Scope taps his forearm, wanting a view for himself.

"Cool, isn't it?"
