Burnt journal (#1)
Entries of the journal Emery kept on the road after leaving her farm to look for her sisters... it seems a good chunk of it has been burnt to shit and parts are unreadable though. Whatever happened to it can't have been good. Can't help but wonder why she holds onto this piece of junk so strongly.

I'm stepping out of the village for the first time since I was born, the unknown is scary but.. part of me -- excited to see what I'll get to find out there!

Pa' tasked me with finding Avery and Wesley. Wesley was in New Jersey last we heard, so Nath-- is aiming in that direction (East) since it's a clear objective, then he'll go back to the farm -- help rebuild things ---- everyone -lse. So with that, gonna hea- ---- first, make my way back around -- ---- ----- to cover more ground. Avery... is gonna b- ---- finding a needle in a hay-bale truthfully. She traveled a lot for work, her last show was in California -- I'm ------ to check there.
I've got this! I'm an Auburn am I not? A silly disease is --- ----- to st-p me ---- ----.
But, still. Promised -ad I'd be careful with it.
We worked on armo---g the truck and getting it ready with supplies to last me awhile while I wander looking for info.. food, medical, weapons and a bit of ammo just to be safe --- that's only for emerg------. Noise att--cts ----, don't wanna draw attention to --self, plus m--- of it needs t- --ay home to ---- guard the ----- -nd kill whatever rem-ins of frea-- in the vill--e... once that's done, the survivors are planning to ---- to---her to build a safe-house perimeter arou-- -he community. We've got animals and most of u- th--e are farmers or crafters -- -----, still work--g by traditional methods... we've got the advantage to self sustain -- --'ll --- -- ----.

This page seems damaged, but still readable, the sturdy cover mixed with the tape holding it together took the blunt of whatever damage was taken... still.. some info is clearly missing. The edges are burnt and the pages further don't seem to get much better...
