Danger Zone- PA Quest

The Danger Zone- PA Quest

Pale eyes scanned the dark halls, the silence weighing heavily on the run down place, the hallway walls lined with deep cracks. A quick shadow moved silently through the worn down hallway before pausing coming to the corner of it. Old trinkets lined the floor from past life that had gone on once, it seemed like this place had been full of life at one point in the past but only the leftover shells of items were left behind. It was cold and damp in the tunnel from the various storms that had seemed to find their way into the abandoned place, the silence was broken as low growling could be heard as it checked its surroundings coming into an open area of the various hallways. In the center lay an old stone fountain that no longer worked, broken statues that were once beautiful art pieces lay crumbling beside it, a large talon soon lay on top of the broken fountain curling around the stone. Soul the large female Utah has found her way into zone B, and she was ready for what was to come.

Souls piercing gaze scanned her surroundings , calculating every movement and sound from anything. Her tail flicked as she stood crushing the old rubble under her talons, Zone A was easy but something was lurking here she couldn’t pinpoint it. Met with a stone cold silence that flooded the hallways , Soul swung her head to the ground sniffing the old items that littered the floor. Carefully taking steps past the fountain into a larger hallway, vine growth covered the floor in this hall stepping back when it touched her foot. This hallway was a lot larger and plant life seemed to find its way into the cracks and had grown for various years, large vines hung from the ceiling. Soul followed the vines with her head ducking under them as she moved through into a room. An old tattered sign hung barely above the room entry that read “ green house “, old glass covered the floor along with cracked garden pots.

Soul walked down the many isles that had racks of plant pots filled with withered plants. She leaned down sniffing leaves that lay on the floor making her sneeze, she growled and huffed before focusing on a large spine that was stuck into the wooden rack. “ What is this from ..?”  She moved her claw against the odd Keratin object before pulling it out with her mouth. It was light but sharp , and had some weight to it , she had never seen it before and was wondering what it came from. She dropped it before continuing on her way, there was a lot to explore.  The vines became thicker as she walked deeper into the greenhouse area , Soul soon picked up an unfamiliar scent wafting through a large room that parted off the greenhouse.

Soul followed the unfamiliar scent, being quiet and careful with every movement. She found her way into a large area filled with lots of plant life and dirt, before taking one more step she felt an indent within the dirt. Her pale eyes soon lay upon a large footprint, nothing she had ever seen in her lifetime.  She looked down studying the new footprint; it had two main toe imprints followed by two smaller ones, she let out a growl as she began to feel uneasy. A loud grunt made her swing her head around quickly ducking into a hidden spot , a large spiked herbivore lumbered past the utah  catching her off guard. It had found a bush and began eating it , its large tail swinging back and forth behind it. Soul narrowed her eyes watching the large herbivore's tail swing back and forth; it was lined with large spikes , and one seemed to be missing, maybe that's where the spike came from.

She had never seen this herbivore on the island and she had seen a lot, but never this one. The large utah studied moving carefully out of sight from the large dinosaur. “ What is that?” she mumbled to herself , her talons clicking the floor as she moved throughout the shadows. It seemed well defended by many large plates and spikes covering its back, it seemed not bothered still eating.Soul made her way around it as she went to go dash by the large dinosaur a large clack of glass hit her claws making a loud noise , glass covered the floor and it seemed the large herbivore heard her. The large dacentrurus turned its head quickly seeing the utahraptor behind it , this one was known as Dia and she was not happy to see an intruder in her greenhouse.  She let out a loud roar eyes narrowed onto Soul , stomping the ground and swaying her large tail “ WHO ARE YOU?!” she snapped before snorting at the utahraptor. Soul stopped turning towards the large herbivore who seemed not happy with her presence , soul bared her teeth claws at the ready.

“ I would tread lightly herbivore” she snarled from her teeth , Soul kept her distance at the ready for anything to happen.

Dia snorted, not happy about the response she had gotten from the unwelcomed utahraptor that stood before her. Her large tail spikes clattering together as she swung it from side to side showing that she was not messing around with the unwelcomed carnivore. She had never seen this type of carnivore for that matter and it was a threat that needed to be dealt with.

“ You are not welcome here, meat eater, I suggest you turn back or it is going to not end well for you” Dia said with a harsh meaning behind it. Dia had a herd to protect and she was not going to be outsmarted by a carnivore. Soul grinned at Dia before laughing which made Dia more mad.

“ Well then we have a problem don’t we” Soul sneered through her teeth. Her pale eyes looking past the large herbivore that blocked her path, she was not going to back down not from this fight. “ I want to pass and it's going to happen whether you allow it or not'' Soul added. Dia had heard enough from the persistent and rude utahraptor, the large dacentrurus had lost  her patience and rushed at Soul snorting before planting her feet before swinging her large spiked tail at Soul. With a swift dodge the agile utahraptor jumped the large swinging tail landing on the side of Dia sinking her claws into her side. Letting out a large growl, a soul snapped at Dia’s face as an incoming bite from the large herbivore was about to happen and she was quick to respond.

Dia began to buck and move her body in various quick movements to try and shake Soul off her, “ Get off me!” she roared angrily, snorting before throwing the utah from her side off.  Soul lost grip as she was flung off the dacentrurus slamming into the ground. “ you are going to have to be better than that” she said, coughing getting to her feet. Soul looked around quickly seeing she had landed on the other side that she was trying to get to a grin coming across her face. It wasn’t the best circumstance but she made it on the otherside.

Dia was furious and snorted, rushing at Soul spikes at the ready “ Get over here!”. Soul was quick to respond, shaking off the blow and turning to bolt away from Dia. The carnivore was a lot faster than the large lumbering spiked herbivore and she made quick work to get ahead of the rampaging Dia. There must be something these aggressive herbivores were hiding and Soul wanted to find out , although she wasn’t sure how many more she would run into and if they were welcoming or not. The utahraptor quickly made it through a small break in the hallway that wasn’t big enough for Dia, a large thud was heard as she began to slam on the wall letting out angered roars having missed Soul.

“Dumb herbivores, I hope that there isn’t more down here” she said coughing from the dust that had been rumbled up from the slamming of Dia. Soul hopped down into another hallway that was much bigger than the greenhouse area, her eyes scanning the shadows. Low rumbles could be heard slightly breaking the silence in the dark room, Soul paused not moving a muscle.

The shifting of weight could be heard and soon spikes clacking together followed by large footsteps. Soul was not alone and she may have stumbled upon a larger problem, as she stepped slowly from her frozen state. Eyes locked onto her but many pairs, not just one, snorting followed. Before they continued by, more dracentrurus and lots of them but the darkness cloaked Soul from their gaze.

There was an entire herd living down here and it was time for Soul to leave , making her way down a hallway deeper into Zone B.
