It's been hard to write recently, so here's a drabble of Chris the Zorua and Glodis fighting against Zex and Zexus. Hope you all enjoy this story as much as I had fun writing it.

Zex and Zexus swung their blades towards Chris the Zorua. The little Zorua did a backflip, just barely scraping by without injury. He readied his Silverwing Quill.

“Hold on, Earthling Chris!”

Chris turned and noticed Glodis the Globarbian running in with their blaster in tow. Chris had never known Glodis to get heated or actively put themself into confrontation, but this seemed different. Glodis seemed irate. “I will help you!”

Zexus scoffed. “What kind of calamari are you? You don’t stand a chance against both of us!”

Glodis let out a mighty roar, taking Chris aback. “Glodis is my name,” the Globarbian said with seething rage, “And I am not calamari!”

Zex made the first move, rushing in towards Chris with a swing of her Hellfire Blade. Chris’ Silverwing Quill clashed with it, and the two were at odds. Zexus made a swing for Glodis, but the Globarbian turned the dial on their blaster to the “Electro” setting, letting out bursts of lightning towards the King of Hell. Now, Zexus was fast, but not as fast as lightning. He could feel his shoulder getting nicked by one of the bolts, feeling as if a wasp had made its mark.

Glodis rushed towards Zexus and grappled him, throwing him over their head and slamming him to the ground. Then, they did it again, and again. Glodis remained relentless.

Meanwhile, Chris and Zex were duking it out blow for blow. Their blades, clashing as they were, were just as poignant as their resolutions.

Shing! Shlang!

Chris held his own against Zex, trying to make a proper swing at her. Zex, however, countered each of Chris’ swings. She knew him like the back of his paw. She had known all his tricks from their constant battles against each other. There were no surprises left to be had.

“Come on,” Zex shouted to Chris, “We’ve been at this for years! It’s time for you to give it up. The quill is mine!”

Chris shouted back one word. “Never!” His swinging of the quill became more and more aggressive, causing Zex to stagger.

Glodis shot more Electro bolts from their blaster towards Zexus, making the King of Hell dance around them. Zexus proceeded to slash away at Glodis with his own Hellfire Blade, but it was to no avail. Glodis’ body just reformed as quickly as he sliced. He couldn’t land a direct hit.

Glodis snatched Zexus’ Hellfire Blade and began to swing wildly, letting out screeches of fury that even Chris was shocked by. Zexus took to the skies with his wings, but he knew that he couldn’t run away forever. He had to get his weapon back.

Zex got an idea. She kicked Chris away with her heel and shot out a ball of Hellfire towards Glodis.

The attack connected. Glodis was suddenly on fire. Their screams of anger turned into screams of horror as they desperately tried to put themselves out.

Zexus snatched the Hellfire Blade out of Glodis’ hands and pointed at Chris. “I can see why Zex despises you, you little scamp.”

Chris readied his Silverwing Quill. “I’ve been called worse,” he replied, “And I bet the Chris in your world is just as bad as me.”

Zexus laughed and shot a response back that shocked Chris. “At least she had charisma.”

Zex flapped her wings and walked over to Zexus. “Let’s go. We’ve got work to do.”

Zexus nodded and squinted his eyes at Chris and Glodis. “Next time, you both will die.”

Glodis smirked and shot back, “Are you looking in a mirror?”

Chris burst out into laughter while Zex and Zexus both flew away, grumbling to themselves.
