The rain poured down harshly on the island as the waves lapped at the beaches, the tide going further each time. The water was nearly consuming all the sand that was on the beach. With how the weather was, any land mhoats were well in their homes. Some even traveled to the center of the island for shelter. The beaches seemed mostly empty due to this, all but one on the island.

Sierra was swimming under the currents keeping close to the underside of the draconic island but close enough to one of the beaches in case any mhoat got caught by the rough waters. They were a lifeguard and was going to be really watchful this lovely day. They already saved two poor souls that got caught when the storm hit. As they kept up with the island, a Sea wyvern popped in front of them. The water was dark and murky and it came up from the island's belly. Without much warning it knocked into them, hitting them up by the currents. Before anything could be done, Sierra was dragging and spun violently by the rough waves. By the time they settled themselves another wave would hit and spin them around. Without knowing, the waves had started to push Sierra up top.

After a few spinning episodes and a bad headache, Sierra found themselves washed up shore. Seaweed covered them, clinging to their fins and tail. They were so far up the beach that they were at one of the forests. Sierra sighed and laid down, trying to calm down and let the headache pass. A screech pulled them out of their rest causing them to panic and lurch up violently. Quickly they began to look around, their heart hammering in their chest. Another screech was heard and Sierra was after the sound, shifting across the grass as fast as possible. The grass was rough against their soft flesh, only the random puddles soothed it a bit. By the third screech, Sierra found the source of the noise. A small animal stuck in a muddy puddle and it was trying to get unstuck. Sierra saw it stuck its free paw out and it screeched once more, seems it wasn't only stuck but hurt as well.

Sierra took a deep breath, scooting slowly close to it, it was a caterpillar. Upon noticing Sierra it puffed up as much as it could, hissing. Sierra cooed softly at it, blinking slowly as they lowered their head as flat to the ground as possible. Upon Sierra lowering their head the caterpillar slowly calmed down, trying again to get out. Before it could use its free hurt paw, Sierra scooted closer and plucked it out of the mud. The caterpillar froze, confused at its sudden freedom. Sierra looked down, they still had seaweed on them and this poor thing was dirty, scared and hurt. The caterpillar slipped from their fins. Yelling, they quickly grabbed the little muddy thing once again. They needed help to mend it and quickly because the storm was starting to hit harder. Placing the little critter down, then pulled the seaweed off and started making a small bed. Once the caterpillar was on the ground it looked around confused and slowly tested it's paws out, keeping the hurt one up.

It started to take off but before it went far, Sierra snatched it up quickly, placing it in the makeshift seaweed bed. It wasn't the best and made in a hurry but it allowed Sierra to carry the critter a lot easier. It sat there in the dirt and quivering as Sierra scooted more into the island, looking for anyone. A land mhoat would be best to find but Sierra wasn't sure how close any towns or cities were. After a while they almost began to give up, it was hard to see and they felt like they were going in circles in the tan and pink mushroom forest. Then looking around, it was hard to see but a green stood out from the forest and tan grass. Sierra wasn't sure what it was, squinting it was rather large at the very least. Maybe it was a land mhoat! Without pause, Sierra shuffled close to the green calling out to it.

"Hello? Can you help me, please!! I found a hurt pet!" Sierra yelled. The wind and rain weren't as bad in this part but Sierra doubted they could hear them. Finally, they got close enough to see the green was a land mhoat. It was a two-toned chimera looking mhoat. Upon Sierra getting close enough to see this mhoat, the mhoat saw them and stood up quickly. "Oh thank the gods you are a mhoat! Please help, I found this injured pet, it's leg is hurt for sure!"

The Mhoat ran over to them quickly, looking at the pet in question. "May I" They questioned as they cupped the caterpillar.

"Please do!" Sierra cried, worried for the little thing. The mhoat picked up the caterpillar forming secondary arms as they began a checkup. They seemed skilled at this, carefully going over the critter without it crying in pain much.

The mhoat sighed and smiled "Seems like a small sprain, a bit of rest and cleaning up will do them good! You said you found them? I can return to you with them when they recover! I'm sure they appreciate what you did for them! Oh, I'm Frankie by the way!" Frankie looked up at them smiling as they cradled the little caterpillar.

"I'm Sierra, thank you so much for the help! I don't mind seeing them recovered but if I'm unavailable please make sure it's safe." Sierra replied as they began to slouch, stress finally leaving their body. It would be a long way back but they could go at their own pace and not skin themselves on the way back. Speaking of that they were not going to like getting back up, the grass roughed them up a bit. Without know they had closed their eyes, Frankie was tending to the pet, cleaning it when they saw rough red on Sierra's underbelly. Frankie realized they went far for this little pet.

"I have a medical kit and some ointment that could help you as well, if I may of course!" Frankie spoke as they approached the more red side on Sierra.

Sierra jolted up at the sudden sound, seeing Frankie looking worried at their scrapped side. "If you don't mind! I wouldn't say no!" Sierra replied, their voice sounding tired. By the time the storm stopped, Sierra had made it home to the waters with bandages wrapped around them. Later after a few days, Frankie stopped by with a now better caterpillar that chirped happily at them with new found strength.
