I remember it was a normal day. My family and I went out for a picnic. It was a beautiful place, the trees curled over us and splotches of sunlight shown through. I was with my mother and father. We had laid down a soft blue blanket that my mother had spent a month knitting. There was small talk as my mother was setting out the food, but what I clearly remembered the most was my dad playfully shoving her. It caused her to drop the pie she spent hours on, but my mother didn’t get mad. She simply picked up the, now ruined, pie and took a piece out before shoving it in my father’s face. We all laughed about it until we couldn’t breathe. It was going to be a great day...or so I thought.  My father was talking to my mother when his words got caught in his throat. He just looked past her in horror. There was a figure, a shadow, I still don’t know how to explain it. It was just standing at the edge of the clearing, it’s red eyes still haunt me. Then it charged. I don’t like to remember much of what happened, but it got to my mother first. In my panic I over grew my body, you probably haven’t heard that term unless you’re a nature user. Plants sprouted from eyes, nose, and mouth and it hurt like hell.  I can still remember my father yelling at me to run, but I was frozen, my vision had become distorted with plants and tears. Through it all the last thing I saw was a claw outstretched towards me. I woke up..no, I just. I stood over my body. It was the weirdest thing, just seeing myself like that.
