Prompt 4: Warmth

On some days the autumnal breeze would  blow colder than usual. Despite the windows of the caravan being shut,  the wind found its way in through small cracks in the wood. A blob  creature made of wool and fabrics rose from the bed. The bundle shivered  as it made its way into the pantry. A tiny noodley appendage breached  the fabrics and retrieved a cup from the cupboard, shortly followed by 4  packets of Moonbucks trademarked hot cocoa, pumpkin spice flavor of  course. A second appendage appeared from the cloth construct and  assisted in tearing open the packets and dumping the contents into the  cup. The textile golem flipped turned its attention to the magic kettle  on the counter. It contained enough water for his needs so he flipped it  on and turned around. The water would take a couple minutes to boil. In  the meantime, the bundle of blankets creeped around the house, turning  on as many magic heaters as it could find. Surely this was a fire  hazard, but the creature cared not for safety. It only craved warmth,  safety be damned! A click was heard from the kettle alerting the  makeshift mass to return to the kettle. Due to having four packets of  hot cocoa in it, the cup barely had room for the boiling water being  poured into it. A spoon was plunged into the muddy depths and spun  rapidly. The end result was a mixture that wasnt exactly hot chocolate.  Its consistency was more like a very thick mud. Yukis head popped out of  the blankets and took a sip of the mixture. The warmth flowed down his  throat and left a satisfied smile on his face. With all the necessary  accommodations made, Yuki returned to the bed and the pile was still  once more.

Prompt 14: Worst Nightmare

Yuki awoke in a dimly lit alley. The moon was out, casting a soft glow on some fresh bruises. He had been wandering through a pawn shop when he saw a small red gem shaped like the eye of a cat. The last thing he remembered was reaching for the jewel. His body ached terribly and he had a throbbing pain in his head. He slowly got up, feeling his vision spin. His grumbling tummy reminded him of the gnawing hunger that had kept him awake for 2 days. He noticed a garbage bin in the alley and shambled towards it. The stench immediately hit him and he became nauseous. Nonetheless he started digging through. Bugs of all types scurried out of the trash, startled at having their meal interrupted. A sliver of moon cheese would be the rancid prize for all of Yukis efforts. Although it wasnt much, The magic contained in the sliver would sustain him for another day at least. However, as soon as Yuki picked up the cheese, a rat jumped out of the garbage and took the sliver with it. Having no strength left, Yuki lied down on the ground and cried. It would be another sleepless night for him. When he opened his eyes, he was met with the broad chest of Tidus. He snuggled in closer and closed his eyes once more. He felt comfortable knowing he would never have to go back to that. In the arms of the browbird, he fell into a deep, peaceful slumber.
