Artemis is defending a town, but she can’t do it without reinforcements. It seems Daimont isn’t saying everything he knows about the situation; but that isn’t what either one of them thinks is most interesting…

There are possessive, yandere like thoughts shared by characters in this chapter. Nothing graphic though.

“Geez! Mamo! That thing is massive!  If it gets to the city there’ll be hell to pay!”

The little bear minical leaped before sending out waves of jelly cubes that turned into swarms of bees, buzzing towards the kaju sized sugar creature.

“You’re right, Miss Ursa! This thing might be too tough for just us two!”

Artemis gritted her teeth as the monster launched a super heated sugar beam out of its mouth directly towards the city.

With a swing of her sweeticalware, she redirected the beam to an empty area; well, she certainly hoped it was at least LESS populated…

The creature roared in anger and turned towards the lone Sweetical and Minical.

“Uhhhh Miss Ursa? I don’t think it’s very happy with us.”

She scoffed. “Yeah, I’m inclined to agree! But there are positives here Mamo; it’s NOT heading towards the city now!”

“Just us!”

“Yeah! So we better get going!”

The two sped off luring the lumbering sugar monster deeper into the wilderness of Decortea.

🍭

Artemis glared. Just WHEN would this thing go DOWN?

“Miss Ursa, I don’t… I’m running on fumes here.”

Mamoru wheezed next to her, trying to get any breath that he could.

She hated to admit it, but she was on her last legs too. It had been hours of dealing with this thing. Of course, it refused to really stay away from the settlement…

…almost as if it was intent on destroying this place specifically to piss her off!

She saw the monster open its mouth for another breath attack, but she was just too tired, her legs wouldn’t move.

A flash of green to the side, then she found herself and her minical being put down out of the beams away.

An absolute gorgeous Sweetical stood before her, fierce red eyes trained on the creature.

“Are either of you hurt?”

She shook her head, words alluding her for the moment.

He turned and smiled at the two of them.

“Good. Thank you. I’ll handle this from here.”

Then he was gone. Like literally; the guy just disappeared into thin air.

🍈🐯🩸

He was grateful she had held off the creature for this long. Tapping a communication he spoke to his own minical.

“Chomp, status?”

“Pffft eight of nine gates up. Just give me the go and this thing’ll be CHOMPED!”

Manically laughter flooded through the channel as Daimont sighed. He gets far too much enjoyment from this.

“Closing in. Stand by.”

Scaling a nearby tree, he uncloaked allowing the monster to see him.

A rush of sugar magic flowed through his veins as his scissor blades materialized, one side in each hand.

He spun one around as the beast roared at him, always the perfect weight. Transforming one of the blades into its sub form, a hand crossbow, he once again spoke into his transponder as the beast made a move to attack him with a massive candy spiked tail.

“Now.”

He saw a flash of sugar magic as a massive bear trap materialized and sprung down of the creature, hindering any possible movement as it roared in pain and surprise.

“Mwehehehe!! Ah it never gets old!! Get ‘em, Master! Time to finish this beast off!”

Chomp was right; this monster had caused enough damage for one day. And to think, it had been so beautiful once. But that was all in the past. This is the present, and presently, Daimont had a megaton beast to contend with… before anyone asked too many questions.

He grew an arrow from his claws and loaded it into the sub weapon and fired.

The creature let out one more wail before shattering into billions of icy sugary shaved ice.

He sighed, too easy. Only because SHE had worn it down so much though.

His vision fixed on the Sweetical he had saved; both her and her minical were in dire straits, they needed healing and sugar soon.

“Chomp. Grab the Core. I need to check on the other fighter.”

“Ye ye, leave clean up to poor ole Chomp. Don’t even got no thumbs!”

Trusting the minical to handle that, Daimont I summoned his weapons and returned to the Sweetical and minical below.

The minical seemed to be more cognizant of what was going on so he addressed them.

“Thank you for your assistance. Now I’d like to help you.”

“Oh yes! Thank you! Miss Ursa isn’t looking too good, she needs healing, please!”

He nodded, pulling a vial from a pouch, uncorking it before giving it to the bear.

It’s sugary scent alone had him nearly salivating while he spoke.

“This will help you both until I get you to a healer. Drink it.”

The bear nodded and took a sip, his whole body glowing momentarily before he looked at Daimont eyes sparkling.

“Wow! What kinda of magic potion is this!?”

“It’s,” he trailed off, perhaps they didn’t need to know it was ground surce core and Sweetical magic, “…not important. But it will help.”

The minical nodded before administering the rest to Miss Ursa.

She awoke but was still quite dazed as he lifted her into his arms.

“Wow, Mamo, that pretty Sweetical is here again. And his skin is just so soft.” She giggled in a singsong voice as she gently poked and felt at his face and ear.

He couldn’t help from blushing, keeping a watchful eye over both of them as he dropped them off at the infirmary within the settlement they had protected.

It seemed there were few injuries among the people.

Chomp was soon back by his side as he exited the hospital, earning another thank you from the dazed Sweetical and her minical in the process.

“That one was a cutie huh! Was that whatcha thinkin’?”

He spared no look for the minical.

“We need to report back.”

“Golly geez… do you think of anything besides work?”

Chomp detactedfully walked ahead, clearly displeased with his answer.

Of course work wasn’t the only thing he had on his mind. Currently, this thoughts were filled with the memories of that Sweetical today. Her honey tinted scent, how soft her skin was, the fluffiness of her hair, the color of her eyes….

He shook his head, no. Absolutely not. His work with the royal family was dangerous enough. With this monster problem with VainGlory scientists, he had enough on his mind without a new amour gracing his thoughts.

But… the thoughts just wouldn’t go away. Not as he was debriefed, not as he walked home, not as Chomp pestered him with countless questions, not as Flambè welcomed the two of them home, not even when he slept could he free his mind of her.

Tomorrow, he had to find her, and make her his.

🐻🌙☕️

Artemis woke up, Mamoru sitting next her noticing right away.

“Oh you’re awake! I’m so glad.”

“Where are we?”

“Oh right! We’re in that settlement's infirmary; the Sweetical that helped us brought us here after the fight. He sure was something!”

She gazed out the window, his face popping up in her mind, he WAS something else. With those beautiful sharp eyes and those sucre marks on his skin and that fluffy ear and tail, and such soft… skin.

Her face flushed red as she vaguely remembered him carrying her and her TOUCHING him.

“Uhh Mamo?”

“Yes Miss Ursa? Are you unwell? Should I get a nurse!?”

“No! No, please don’t.” She buried her face in a pillow before mumbling, “did I… make a completely fool of myself in front of that cute Sweetical?”

He tilted his head.

“I don’t think so! His body language was open the whole time he carried you here! Even when you were running your hands through his hair and!”

He fell off his chair as the pillow hit him. She glared her face rather scarlet as she curtly replied.

“Thank you! I don’t need a play by play.”

Still though, it’d be nice to meet him again, or at least have caught his name. It would make it so much easier to track him down and… and see if he would be hers, forever and ever and ever, only HERS.
