Rune curled around the egg. She felt proud that Eclipse had trusted her to care for the new egg they'd found. It was odd how they'd come across another one, but she wasn't about to complain about her pack expanding. They needed more weremon anyway, her pack leader deserved to be leading a large and strong pack. She pulled her tail further around the egg. She still couldn't quite wrap her head around why her pack leader had allowed the two vampires to join their pack. The woobat wasn't so bad, he at least seemed to respect their rules and customs, but the weavile constantly got on her pack leader's nerves. Perhaps it was out of some sort of pity that he kept that one around. After all he'd apparently been found injured and abandoned by his fellow vampires. She scoffed at the thought of leaving one of her pack mates behind. The only reason Eclipse wasn't with his old pack is because he split off willingly to form his own. As he should, he was more than strong enough to lead. The fact that he already had a sizable pack in this new world was proof of that.

She ran a gentle hand over the surface of the egg. It should hatch soon; she looked forward to the child seeing their first moon. Even if it was not of their original world. A new world provided new opportunities so Rune didn't so much mind it. She only wished that some of her kind hadn't chosen to integrate themselves with the people of this world. Word had been coming back that more weremon and even vampires had been see alongside rescue teams and civilians alike. She snorted in disgust. Perhaps some of those low lives were where the eggs they'd been coming across were coming from. If that was the case she was glad they had found them. That way the children could be raised properly.

Sighing she settled down. Getting worked up like this would do her no good right now. There was no need to risk her getting so upset that she hurt the egg unintentionally. She wouldn't risk betraying her pack leader's trust. Nothing would stop her from making sure the child hatched safe and sound. She adjusted her position one last time before letting her eyes drift closed, trusting that her pack mates would prevent any harm to her or the egg.
