As a Reosean's knowledge expands, it's important to see where they came from. Draw or write about your Reosean studying scrolls, books, interacting with their craft or perhaps even being instructed by a fellow Reosean in order to learn to craft. Are they succeeding? Or is their project turning into a massive failure? (Ex. taste testing teas or cookies, sharpening a sword and it slipped, mixing up the wrong potions, etc!)

Ragna 15390 | Artemis 13336

“Oh god what the hell is that smell?” Artemis retorted as she stepped into her kitchen, an even layering of smoke hung in the air and the scent was anything but pleasant. Her face contorted as the stench continued to assault her nose but there was little she could do to stop it, even as she covered her nose with her large paw it did nothing to save her.

A rather frantic Ragna ran around the kitchen. Flour was scattered everywhere along with crudely made frosting and some interesting looking concoctions, though by the smell it was quite obvious they weren’t anything enjoyable.

Turning to Artemis frantically, her ears pressed to her head, any ounce of confidence in her once proud self was gone, “I think I burnt the reptilian cookies…”

“Burnt them? Listen I smell a lot of unpleasant things and in and yet burnt seems like the last thing I would have guessed. How the hell did you manage to burn them when you've been in here with them the whole time?” Artemis retorted, her annoyance now clear. The more she looked around the more messes seemed to appear in her once clean kitchen. She had taken on Ragna to teach her all about crafting due to her calm and patient personality. The two were so similar after all, and yet. With the place trashed she began throwing things in the trash as she waiting for Ragna’s defense.

“Listen, I’m usually not the one that cooks ok? Bellona loves cooking so I’ve never really learned by myself…” She trailed off at the mention of her mate. God was she getting home sick, and the constant slaps in the face of her failures weren’t helping.

“Uh huh…” Artemis retorted with a sarcastic look, “You don’t say?” she held eye contact as she swooped the obviously more than “burnt” cookies into the trash, “I get that but all you had to do was start a timer. I helped you step by step make those things. How could you get so side tracked?” The kitchen’s mess alone seemingly told the tale of Ragna’s experimentation.

“Well…” Ragna’s once deep voice cracked with shame, “I had a timer set but I got distracted… I thought I could try a more advanced recipe.” She shuffled her feet uncomfortably as she waited for more scolding from Artemis.

Artimen paused unsure as to what to say before she came up to the strange mixture Ragna had been working on. Was she trying to make a chromatic concoction? The recipe was difficult even for seasoned chefs and yet… Though the odor was all off, it didn’t look that far off. Though Artemis wasn’t going to let Ragna see her impressed after the mess she made, “Ragna, listen, you need to start with these reptilian cookies BEFORE you try more advanced stuff. You can’t just rush into things.” She scolded her, but Ragna’s once menacing appearance looked pitiful as her eyes filled with shame and embarrassment.

Letting out a long sigh Artemis stopped to look at the mess, “Tell you what, you help me clean all of this up and I’ll walk you through the cookied again, deal?”  Without a second thought Ragna eagerly nodded her head and began picking things up, “Deal! I think I have most of it, I just need help keeping time.”

Artemis chuckled lightly, “I think it’s more than just the timing you need help with.” The stench still laid over the kitchen revealing Ragna’s many mistakes.

Ragna lowered her head once again in embarrassment as she began sweeping flour off of the dark floor, “Ok, maybe I could use another full walk through again.”  Artemis laughed a bit harder before returning to her broody self. Silently and efficiently the pair cleaned the entire kitchen of Ragna’s mess in what seemed like a few minutes at most. They were scary efficient together and thus made for a great teacher student pairing.

“Ok I think we are ready to try again.” Artemis said, letting out a long sigh before wiping the sweat from her forehead, “Ready to begin?”

Ragna nodded her head at the question, quickly recalling the ingredients needed and gathering what she could pull from her memory. She wanted to impress Artemis, show her she could do it, and yet as she brought it all together Artemis raided her eyebrow in question, “Forgetting something?”

Ragna looked at the ingredients but nothing popped out at her as missing. Artemis shook her head with a sigh before speaking up once more, “The flour Ragna. We still need flour.”

“Oh yes of course. I’ll go get that now!" Ragna scurried off too quickly to the nearby cabinet only to look through and not see it. Panicking she turned around to see Artemis with an amused smile.

"Other cabinet."
