[WoR] Gatherer's Charm
As a Reosean's knowledge expands, it's important to see where they came from. Draw or write about your Reosean studying scrolls, books, interacting with their craft or perhaps even being instructed by a fellow Reosean in order to learn to craft. Are they succeeding? Or is their project turning into a massive failure? (Ex. taste testing teas or cookies, sharpening a sword and it slipped, mixing up the wrong potions, etc!)

“So wait, I need to use magic to bless this charm?” A large black puller with crystalline shards all over her body spoke up. Before her lay a small, crudely made charm. Though it showed craftsmanship it was clear that the maker, the large black female, was not an experienced crafter. Yet.
Another female with thick fur nodded in response, “Yes Ragna, the gatherer’s charm only works if you put a luck blessing on it. Is that going to be an issue?” She seemed a bit short tempered in her tone, clearly unimpressed at the worry the other female had about such an easy and small thing. It was after all just a minor and easy use of magic right?
Ragna squinted her face up as she looked back down at her creation. She had worked so hard on it even if it didn’t look the best, but the idea of using magic wasn’t something she enjoyed. Due to her mutation she was less than skilled in her magic usage, the only real capability she had was creating crystals much like the ones on her body.
“Well, Artemis… The thing is…” Ragna sputtered over her words unsure as to how to tell her teacher she was unsure if she was able to complete the seemingly easy task of blessing an item.
“Well spit it out? Don’t tell me you can’t do a simple blessing?” She chuckled a bit as she spoke, even young vayrons and tyrians had the ability to use their magic at least in that regard and yet. Ragna stood silent with an uncomfortable face that told Artemis everything she needed to know. She couldn’t do it.
“Wait, you really don’t know how to bless an item?” Artemis spoke with a shocked voice, though she didn’t know how old the puller was before her she knew she was surely old enough to be able to use her magic.
Ragna pinned her ears back on her head as shame and embarrassment washed over her, “I don’t know how. I grew up alone and so no one really taught me. Plus my mutation suppresses most of my magical abilities. All I can do is create crystals like the ones from my body.” As she spoke she gestured towards her golden crystals which shone brightly in the lightly lit room.
Artemis couldn’t help but let her jaw hang open in both shock and surprise, “Wait so you have no idea whatsoever how to bless something? Like nothing at all? Really?”
Ragna nodded her head at the questions, "Really. Like I said all I can do is create crystals. That's it." Her tone began to shift from embarrassment to more defensive, Artemis picking up on this and making her quickly shift the conversation.
"Hmm, well I suppose instead of blessing the item itself you could try blessing a crystal and incorporating it into the Gather's charm? It isn't necessarily common for them to have gems but I suppose so long as it works." Her words trailed off as she found herself deep within thought on how to make this work.
Ragna looked down at one of her paws and raised it. In the flash of an eye a small crystal formed between her claws, nothing to large but just enough for her to use in the charm. Quietly she carved a small incision on the charm's forehead before ever so carefully placing the gem into it's new resting spot. Though it wasn't a perfect fit at first, Ragna focused on the gem causing it to grown a bit more, causing it to grow into the charm making it sturdier than even before. As she looked at her new refined charm she looked back to Artemis who was still thinking before speaking.
"I just need to know how to charm an item now. I have quite a bit of control over my crystal powers so I think I should be able to do it, I just need your guidance." Her tone was soft again, no longer defensive as she looked to Artemis for help.
Snapping out of her thoughts she looked back to Ragna and her new and improved charm, "Hmm well it is easy for the most part. All you want to do is focus on the item you want to bless, and than what you want to bless it with. In this case you want to bless the gem in your gatherer's charm rather than the full charm itself. Once you are locked onto what you want charmed all you need to do is focus on what you want it to do, or more so the feeling on what you want it to do. It is a bit hard to explain, just try to think of luck and finding more things while out and gathering."
Ragna nodded as she focused in on her charm and began to do as she was told. The gem began glowing brightly before it let out a bit of a spark as though the charm was done. Just like that the item was finished, and Ragna now not only knew how to make the charm but knew how to use her magic in new ways.
