Costume Celebration

Nobody had told him that making your own costume was this hard. It was almost not worth the effort, aside from feeling proud about having made what he had. Wasn’t even close to finishing, either. There was so much cutting to do, so much sewing when he had barely any interest nor knew how to do either of those things. A first time for everything though, right?

Damn it. Damn it. Have you ever cut a hole too large into a piece of fabric? They say to start out small and adjust slowly, but some people just didn’t have the time for that. or patience. A little funny, right? Well, not if it wastes your fabric like that. “Fuck.” He sits there in the shambles of his own making,  sighing as he drops the scissors. Beware had never been this frustrated because of a single task, at least not that he remembered. He’d keep trying though. Something to be proud of.. He wanted that. 

Another piece of cloth, another try. Well, this had been the firth so far, so it wasn’t like this was new to him now. The CCCat was a total klutz when it came to working with the scissors, cutting, yet again, a hole too large; much larger than the other. He knew you shouldn’t throw tools, especially when it came to sharp ones like scissors– yet those cutters find themselves embedded in the wall of his room, a scream of frustration accompanying it. 

He was  so close to just buying a costume instead. The cost of materials was certainly stacking up to not make much of a difference now.. But something just  kept him hooked on that goal of making his own costume. So, for once, Beware actually takes his time, slowly cutting out one hole– which actually turned out to be the perfect size, then … swallows as he dreads the second one. You got this. Believe in yourself, Beware. An agonising three hours later, it was done. Finally finished, his very own costume. It looked incredible, unlike anything you could buy in the store! Proudly, the CCCat storms out of his room, aiming to show the world his incredible crafting skills.
