"I recommend running."

Standing in an open clearing, Nara slowly drew back his wing, mildly scorched after taking the brunt of two fireballs. It wasn't often that he went off script in game to talk to the players directly, but he was soft hearted and wanted to warn them about their mistake. Perhaps because it was partially his fault. Though minding his own business, he knew the players tended to attack him on site, or report his location on the forums for those high enough level that wanted to take a chance at the exclusive items he dropped. Taking the time to sit and play with one of the little rat creatures inhabiting the world wasn't the best idea.

But they were so cute! Not to mention they were created by and reminded him of his father, Ranvier. A little skittish, but with a few snacks and adoration, calmed down quickly to be snuggled. The problem was when the party showed up to fight him, he attempted to protect the tiny creature, but as a result the players mistook that for a weakness and started focusing it. Compared to most critters, the rats were all surprisingly tanky, unable to get one shot by any spell in the game. He couldn't keep the continuous assault at bay however... frowning at the pixels disappearing below him.

"Hah, trying to scare us off now that you're clearly weaker!" They claimed. Honestly, they weren't wrong, the tiny creatures had a hidden mechanic that gave a small buff to anyone with an extremely short range, it wasn't significant enough to warrant killing it though. There was also one other downside. These were his fathers most beloved creations. The clearing darkening in their area as an instance opened up, sealing them off from the rest of the digital world. Sighing as a white cloaked figure manifested itself with a golden glare, all Nara could do at this point was settle down to wait. He warned them against the game master's wrath, they were left running too late.
