It's been awhile [script]

Lucas laid in his bed; he had been back early from the bakery as his sister took his spot.

[Lucas laid quietly before picking his phone, he stared at the last conversion he'd had with Leo. there was a long conversation, followed by a question and a short answer, to a simple bubble that Lucas had sent]

[They hadn't talked much since he'd found it Leo was unhuman, he took a deep breath before typing;]

LUCAS: 'do you want to hang out today?'

[...he waited, a moment later Leo had responded]

LEO: 'sure.'

[Lucas let a relieved sigh as he sat up]

LUCAS: "wanna go to for ice cream?"

[not much later he found himself, standing alone in front of the ice-cream parlor. he planned to make Leo as comfortable as possible, he wanted to get his friend back, before Leo had pulled back from him in a panic. Lucas jumped back as a familiar face suddenly stood inground of him, silently]

LUCAS: [surprised] "hey Leo"

LEO: [softly] "hey"

[they stood quietly before Lucas opened the door for Leo, not stopping himself from looking at Leo.]

LUCAS: [gently] "been a while, hasn't it?"

[Leo gave a nod as he walked in, standing in line like the last time they've been in there. Lucas followed standing behind him, the place was somewhat empty. they sat down]

LUCAS: [nervously, bouncing his leg] "you really like strawberry, huh?"

LEO: [stiff] "its.. familiar. you never stick with a flavor?"

LUCAS: [he laughed a bit] "there's a lot of different ones, can't just have one"

[Leo gave a nod, it stayed quiet for a few seconds.]

LUCAS: "you exited for Halloween? don't think you have to make a costume, you'll get a lotta complements."

LEO: "Halloween...?" [he paused, being made painfully aware that Lucas knows once again]

"oh, no, I don't think that's a good idea."

LUCAS: "I guess not but it's a nice thought right? being able to be yourself on some level"

LEO: "I suppose it would be nice to roam around like that"

[Leo seemed a bit on edge as he spoke]

LUCAS: [with a pause] "sorry"

"I mean- About bringing it up last time, I should've let you tell me that. if you were planning too anyway" 

[Leo looked at Lucas before looking down at his ice cream cup, what he'd hadn't finished had melted already. he looked back at Lucas before giving a nod]

LUCAS: [glanced at Leos cup] "should we leave..? I'll walk you, like last time."

LEO: [quietly] "yeah, I'd like that"

[streetlights, as they walked.]

LEO: "..hows the bakery holding up? Pau had passed through a couple of time, despite how much i tried to stop him."

LUCAS: [he chuckled] "He came in a couple times, the bakery's doing good as always"

"You still growing pumpkins?"

LEO: "yeah, i didn't know they took so long to grow"

LUCAS: "oh! we should carve one with everyone! Sponge, Amathyst, Shasha, Zar or I could buy one to carve if you don't want to carve your own."

LEO: "no, it'll be fun, i think. never carved one before"

LUCAS: "i think you'll enjoy it"

[they both got to Leos house]

LUCAS: "see you soon?"

LEO: [with a nod] "see you soon, Lucas"

[Lucas watched Leo walk into his house before he walked him himself, he left his shoes at the door, he walked into his room after getting ready and laying down onto his bed]

[Lucas woke up to a jar on his deck, it was almost pitch dark. he put a hand up to it and it swirled around to a lighter color while glowing Lighty, he pulled his hand back and it had gone back to its darkness. He brought both hands to the jar and it swirled quicky before it settled into what seemed to look like the stars, a mix of purples and blues as it lightly moved within it self-emanating a soft purple light.]

LUCAS: [almost in disbelief] "..huh"

[Lucas wasn't sure about what it meant for Leo but he hoped that it meant things could start going back to somewhat normal]
