Day 14 - Reaper

Sitting behind the bar, the owner looked over the line of patrons gathered up at the counter for todays activity. At least to him it wasn't anything special, a fun little thing for the festive month of Halloween, but they all seemed surprisingly fired up for the Reaper event. Even Bean was looking confident and excited. The confidence he could understand, with their fiery half, he figured they would be able to handle spicy foods, the excitement, he couldn't help but question. "You're sure there's nothing you wanna tell me before we begin?"

It was suspicious enough when the other contestants all side eyed Bean, knowing how weak he was when face to face with Mitsu. However, they shook their head, keeping tight lipped about whatever he was being kept out of the loop of. Leaning in closer, he was willing to try once more to shake this strange alliance they all had against him all of a sudden, "Really? Nothing? Not even a single peep about what you were huddled up whispering outside about together?" For whatever reason his customers tended to underestimate how perceptive he was as there were gasps from a couple. But their secret meeting's topic was obviously still secret since he was still trying to get it out of their weakest link. Unfortunately Bean held strong, despite Mitsu's sweet cooing. With a sigh, he supposed it couldn't be helped, he'd probably find out soon enough, figuring it was something silly either the last place loser, or first place winner would get after the competition. Closing that bit of distance to bonk foreheads affectionately with Bean, he went leaned back to start bringing out the plates for everyone, "Fine, keep your secrets, as long as none of you break anything. First to finish their plate of reapers eats free tonight."
