Fear or Fun
With the arrival of fall, it appears haunted houses have opened for the season all over Draelvary! How will Zipper handle visiting a Haunted House this year?
Zipper shivered as he walked through the haunted house. Usually, Zipper tried to put on a tough act, but the ghoul-dressed plush dragons had him scared. He was walking past a wall of creepy paintings that seemed to follow him in the dim lighting of the hallway. He knew they were actors, he had known some haunt actor plush dragons, and it was part of why he supported the haunted houses. Though walking through them always seemed to override the rational thoughts and fill him with fear.
One of the paintings lunged at him with a yell earning a scream from Zipper as he ducked and fleed further into the haunt. Zipper was hoping he was nearing the end of the house, but saw stairs in front of him and felt his stomach drop. He took a few deep breaths before starting up the stairs. They creaked like they were ready to give out, but Zipper knew that if they were going to they wouldn't leave the haunted house open, or at least, he hoped so.
At the top of the stairs was the entrance to a room full of the fog machine, and mirrors. Some flashing light was all that lit the room, so it was going to be hard to make it through the mirror maze. He lifted his paws so he could feel his way through, carefully listening and looking around as he felt his way forward. The screaming in the background and scary noises from other rooms made Zipper feel like he might never escape. When he finally found the escape from the mirror maze, he was immediately jumped and scared by a zombie. And the sound of a chainsaw starting behind him. He pushed passed the Zombie yelling an apology as he ran for the exit, deciding he couldn't walk anymore he needed out.
Once he made his way out, he panted and looked at the building, before laughing. He felt so silly and hoped the Zombie didn't get hurt. He was glad he was out, though, and decided he'd take a friend with him next year.
