Setting the table for dinner, four plates were placed in front of chairs with their silverware and cups as Nara hummed thoughtfully. Something was missing, but he couldn't quite remember what. He was still getting use to life outside of the videogame world, and the various npcs usually took care of such things. Crossing his arms, he squinted at his work, willing the answer to come to him. Tonight was one of the first days his dad had agreed to visit other than their normal schedule so he wanted things to be perfect.

Glancing down when Sato came in, they took one look at the setup and asked, "Where're the napkins?" Letting out a quiet, 'Ah!' he strode over to decorate the table with what it was missing. Leaning to nuzzle gently against them in thanks, he questioned, "Is father here yet?" Getting headshakes, he frowned, they were usually here by now to either catch up or pick a fight with Gil, he still wasn't sure which it qualified as yet. "I'll log in and get him, don't worry," Sato assured, seeing the concern written over his face.

It was a simple task, logging in and calling out Ranvier's name. He knew it'd send an alert to the game master considering only a select few knew of it here. Waiting, he started spamming it out when there was no response after a few minutes. When one did come, it was surprisingly short and in a message box 'not now'. Left confused, he typed a reply and waited a bit more before yelling into the void again for the game master's attention. This time, Sato jumped as he heard his name snarled instead of a text message this time. There was a distinct throat clear as the other forced calm though, "Tell Nara and Gil I'm sorry, I can't make it today. And stop spamming the hell out of me you gremlin." He normally would have pestered Ranvier until they agreed, but a sorry was rare from them, that tired tone even more so.

The game mastered sighed as he was finally left alone. He really did regret not being able to arrive for dinner, but he was afraid Nara would panic if he showed up before being able to repair his wounds from visiting the real world for a special gift for today. 'How ironic,' he thought.
