Cheers and hollers fell on uninterested ears as Xul stood over his contender with one foot pressed against their chest, now missing their hands so they no longer thought of reaching for any hidden weapon. The coliseum packed as usual when open for events. Today's special occasion was his debut as a a newly trained fighter for the ring. Celebrated with a deathmatch to prove his worth, he had trained hard for this moment. Not for what most would think. Power, fame, luxury, he sought to use all of these as a means to find someone from long ago. A feral he hadn't been able to forget, and the reason he put up with his trainer's abuse despite becoming strong enough to overpower them now.

Scanning the crowd, he had little luck locating them among the attendants. While Xul doubted he was very recognizable compared to when he was a child, he felt confident enough he'd be able to notice the unchanging feral traits of, who even he would readily admit, was his obsession. It kept him determined to survive and thrive, so that was all that mattered in the hell he currently stayed in. A curse from below brought his attention back to the contestant bleeding out under his foot. Narrowing his eyes, Xul was patient for the right people. They were not those people, and he wasn't finished scanning the crowd. Slowly bringing up his tail, it froze over into a sharp, spear-like point. "Annoying..." The demon's eyes widened a moment before it was plunged into their chest, the announcer finally declaring him victor as the rest went wild, excited by the end of the opening fight and anticipation for the next. Xul lived obediently, loved deeply, and protected fiercely. To the rest of the world he wasn't attached to, he was apathetic and merciless towards.
