I spent 2 hours in this that could have been used for valuable homework time on this, happy reading!

In the early years of the Sandwing succession, queen Scarlet was up for new ideas to win for nearly 5 years that the war had been going at this point. So Scarlet set up a program that would involve creating and raising hybrids under her rule to create essentially the strongest dragon to fight in her war. She managed to get her claws on a clawful of Skywing volunteers, Sandwings, Mudwings and captured a seawing and even a group of Icewings. She found that the seawing hybrid was weak and couldn’t do much outside of the water so she sent them to Burn to be stuffed, while the other Hybrids became her new wepons of war. Eko was an Icewing hybrid.

Eko had undergone extreme training since he first pipped out of his egg and earned his fair share of scars from it, he was officially sent out into the war at the age of 5, With a squad comprised of older skywing’s and Icewing and Sandwing hybrids there were two hybrid teams and both were kept under mass secrecy. Each squad throughout the years received instructions that if any of them were killed in battle they were to retrieve the bodies for Burn’s weirding tower. Eko’s squad fought mostly in the north towards the Ice kingdom, he and the Icewing hybrids even crossed the wall a few times for special missions. Many times over he was proven to have the endurance and brute force of a skywing with the stealth and lethalness of an Icewing, Unlike the Sandwing and Mudwing hybrids who were all fight and no thought.

Eko’s team for the next 10 years performed stealth missions and earned the title of the ghosts of Pyrrhia. Becoming almost as efficient as the rumored nightwing assassins that could come from anywhere. His whole team, excluding their Skying handlers, hadn’t returned to the Skykingdom since the age of 5 and became excellent fighters in all terrain, weather and against opponents. Nobody had seen the team and gotten away alive.

A year of two before the end of the war Eko’s squad was given a drop assignment where their object of retrieval was a nightwing, but not just any ordinary nightwing, an Animus Nightwing, part of a branch of nightwings that had severed from the rest of the tribe living on the volcano, seeking to return to the old ways of the tribe living in the wreckage that is the old nightwing kingdom. The stealth squad was instructed to personally deliver the nightwing to queen Scarlets castle to make new weapons to win the war, in return she promised her throne be given to the nightwing tribe, but left out the part that she’d slaughter their whole tribe in the ravine with the gifts the animus would give her once the war was won.

The squad managed to successfully complete the drop and started their journey to the Skywing kingdom with their new companion, Secert the nightwing. Eko’s squad constantly pestered her with questions, “Can you really read my mind right now?” “What’s my future?” “Can’t you just teleport us there with your animus powers or something?” Eko could tell Secert was uncomfortable with all the questions and managed to direct the questions away. In the daytime when the team would sleep, Secert chose Eko to curl closest to in their camp. The team traveled much slower than normal now that they had someone who didn’t have Skywing genes in blood to fly faster. In the evening the two would make small talk and chat about a world that wasn’t at war. Eko managed to really open up around her and the two eventually became friends, even though his handlers highly discouraged the friendship they didn’t dare piss off an Animus that would be delivered to the queen.

Just when all seemed well and the team was nearing the end of their journey to the Skywing palace a platoon of Icewings spotted them. Eko’s whole team was decimated leaving him and Sceret to get away. Both of them knew there was no way out of this alive. Secert in one last act to save her new friend she took his talons and enchanted it so that Eko would be sent to a time in the future when there was no war, Eko begged her not to, but it was too late. Eko was officially a “dragon out of time”.

When Eko awoke it was thousands of years into the future, the define lines between dragon tribes was becoming harder to tell and like Secert had promised him, there was no war. At least for that moment in time, as a 10 year heated debate against the new Hivewing and Icewings had begun about illegal boarder crossings by ocean. Eko was now left to adjust in a world where he didn’t have to fight anymore, and could finally be “normal”. Eko was seen by the high council of Pyrrhia who decided that since Eko was a permanent asset to their time he would spend live with a war rehab group till he was comfortable enough to assimilate into life in the new time. After a month of not getting along with his rehab group, they took a trip to Pantala. Another new world where he didn’t fit in. But this time he would meet someone that could get him back in time.
