“Eh? Seems like Yuan-ge's still suffering from paperwork,” Yuchen laughed as their little group entered the Seat of the Divine Foresight, his eyes immediately landing on the desk at the head of the room, “But where is Yuan-ge?”

“Dan Heng, Aerin-jie, what are you guys doing here?” Yanqing asked as he walked towards the group, his eyes gazing at the two unfamiliar people vigilantly, “Who are these people?”

“Eh? Who's this little brat?” Yuchen immediately hovered around Yanqing, throwing an arm around the lieutenant's shoulders, “Did you get lost, xiao didi?”

Yanqing immediately struggled under his hold, “I'm not a little brat!”

Yuchen let out a loud laugh, prepared to tease the boy more, but is interrupted as another person walks in.

“Xiao Chen, please let Yanqing go,” Yuxin softly reprimanded, holding herself back from laughing at the blonde's irritated expression, “And please don't tease him.”

“Xin-jie!”

Almost immediately, Yuchen let go of Yanqing as he rushed up to give Yuxin a tight hug. Similarly, Eira walked up to Yuxin, letting the older woman pat her head.

“Nice to see you both again,” Yuxin said, her tone full of fondness for the two, “Jing Yuan's currently heading back soon with your An-jie. They were dealing with some official matters.”

She then set her sights on Yanqing, introducing the pair to the lieutenant, and then moved to address the pair from the Astral Express, “Aerin, Dan Heng, thank you for bringing them here.”

“It's no problem at all, Yuxin! Glad to help!!” Aerin responded, with Dan Heng nodding along to her words.

“We're planning to have dinner together later, I think Xiao An already told your aunt that you'll be going with us. Hopefully you don't mind this arrangement?”

Dan Heng quickly answered, “Of course not.”

Aerin let out a teasing giggle, elbowing the Viyadhara, and laughed louder at the sight of his reddened ears.

Soon enough, the doors opened again, revealing Jing Yuan and Yinuo.

“Seems like we're a little late, let me apologize for that,” Jing Yuan chuckled, walking up to them, “Yuchen, Huiying, the two of you hadn't changed a single bit. Still a pair of well-behaved little cubs in front of your Xin-jie.”

“General,” Eira greeted, “With all due respect, with what eyes of yours do you see that Yuchen is well-behaved?”

“I'm well-behaved!”

“Yeah? You were just messing with me earlier, you know!” Yanqing quipped from the back.

Immediately, as he planned, Yinuo flashed Yuchen a frown, “Yuchen. What did you do to Yanqing?”

But of course, Yuchen understood what the brat had in mind. So immediately, he pulled away from Yuxin, and ran up to lift the orange-haired lieutenant in the air. He spun her around before pulling her to a tight hug, much to Dan Heng's obvious jealousy.

“Eh, An-jie, don't be like that! I was simply greeting him, who would've thought that he's a little short-tempered!” Yuchen said, immediately trying to act cute with his older sister, “Come on, don't you believe me?”

“Ew,” Eira gagged, rolling her eyes.

“Now, now, don't put Xiao An in such a spot,” Jing Yuan laughed, “Also you might want to let her go, Dan Heng doesn't look too good.”

And with that, not only was Yinuo free from having to mediate between the two competitive brats, but her focus was immediately on Aerin and Dan Heng, with the latter being more than happy to steal her focus from the cotton candy-haired man.
