STORMBRINGER
Ramman considers a new approach to his magic in the Battle of The Night Cursed Crone

The Crone was showing no signs of slowing although occasionally one or two mages would inflict what seemed like fatal blows. It was hard to discern if The Crone was in pain with each attack; every sound that came from its mouth seemed sorrowful – painful.

Ramman had seen beasts before. As a boy, they were simply stories and cautionary tales, but since Hagia, they seemed to be constant. Ramman had remembered Ravenous – and how close it had come to home. He had remembered equal parts excitement and fear when Yuriel and Aleister had tormented the lands and minds of others. The horrors of the Hagia event seemed to be one of many catalysts for Ramman to begin to inspire some change in is life. How could he sit idly by whilst terrors harmed the people? He was a grown man then, Ramman wondered how he might have changed if he had witnessed the beast as a child.

A screech pierced his thoughts and he was brought into the present moment. Ramman had taken to the skies where he could for this battle, only taking pause to rest and recoup. With every day his skills on the wing increased ever so – and the flight lessons from Swan always helped, however, Ramman knew best that the most effective way to learn was do. He observed the mages below – a few key figures stood out, a mage he had come to know (who was rather infamous or famous no matter how you looked at it) as Keita who seemed to harness the powers of the cosmos. There was another mage who seemed to cause magnificent flashes of light he had come to know as Anjali, and of course, a familiar face who always seemed to show up in a battle, Rhavid. The pair of them seemed to share the same magic, and so naturally, Ramman was rather observant of him. Ramman made a note to himself to get to know Rhavid better in the months to come – perhaps they could travel and hunt beasts together?

Ramman had fired a few blasts of electricity from his fists, and had equally tapped into the life force of The Crone, trying to summon some electrical currents deep within her, but nothing seemed to overly effective. It was clear that light was the most effective form of damage, but his attempts were not as strong as the others. He pondered for some moments, before taking a deep breath and trying a new approach.

There was a new concept that had occupied his mind – a Storm Sphere. He had always thought of the magnificent of electrical storms and how it captivated him. How the magic seemed to be influenced by him, and how it seemed to effect the surrounds. As Ramman grew stronger he noticed oddities in the weather, small atmospheric changes tied to a mood or focus. Perhaps? Perhaps he could call a storm around The Crone? With a magnificent show of lighting around her, surely that would cause great damage.

Ramman would summon a storm.
