A couple of words. I guess it could count as a sort of prologue for this Zale's story.

The metal stars inside of the orbs on his jester-like garb cause a distinct jiggling sound with every slight movement or rustle in the wind, and as the spell caster never seems to stop moving, his presence always brings along a whimsical song.

"So-? Aren't you excited??" Zale asks, skipping and dancing around the unfortunate koopa troopa that he had looped into a conversation with him. With the absence of a reply, he starts up again, stumbling over his words a little from how excited he was "It's- such a-  you know??? Wow! I can't believe it, truly! To be able to witness such an event is an ab-so-luteee -" he exaggerates each syllable, "-honour!" His movements still as he awaits a response from his friend.

"Uh... m'not quite sure why you'd expect me to be excited? It's your birthday after all...* The koopa speaks slowly, drawing out her words as if she where moments away from falling asleep.

"Well- It's not just my super special once-in-a-century birthday that's happening!" Zale sort of laughs out, continuing his previous song and dance, "In fact, I really couldn't care less about it", he laughs again but it comes out as a more coughed out and congested sound, conveying a more serious tone.

"Huh? What d'you mean?" The koopa asks Zale, unaware of the supposed upcoming event that he was talking about.

"Wellllllllll... Wait. Do you actually not know?" Zale speaks in an almost practiced shocked tone, the koopa shakes her head no, Zale assumes an overexaggerated 'thinking pose' but doesn't respond. And it was a shame that he didn't take the chance to explain himself, as a loud siren started blasting from across the grassy field, a sign that the two of them had to part now. "Oh... Another time then?" Zale asks his soon to be former companion, who simply nodded.

As the two bid each other their goodbyes, Zale felt his chest tighten, out of what he'd hoped was excitement, but he knew that wasn't the case.
