Retrospect/Introspect

Aiden blinked. He was on the train, thinking about what had happened to everyone this year. To check his memory. Aiden gazed around at all of his friends, struggling to even comprehend what may be going on in their minds.

The nagging at the back of his neck was more present than usual. He didn’t tell anyone, of course. It kept him company.

He didn’t know what it was caused by,

but he liked it, even if it was sometimes uncomfortable. Like it was trying to tell him something. Or make him do something. But that was nonsense.

Rushing over to Eric, he did his best to help him up. After the mimic bit him, he was gravely injured. ‘Could barely move. Had to take him somewhere safe. Aiden blinked again.

He could hear Draz breathing in front of him, his breaths were ragged.. and.. shallow. Aiden stopped listening.
