night was always a quiet, secretive, and loving affair.

edgar's fingertips ghosted over toxin's cheek, a cold breath of air pushing through his lips. their breaths were chilling on contact with the freezing atmosphere, puffy clouds forming around the two of them. neither complained, instead just holding each other closer.

toxin was the perfect size of petite, fitting well pressed close against edgar's lanky frame. his hair tickled at edgar's nose, but he was too comfortable to be bothered by it at this point. with his love's head tucked securely under his chin, long arms fastened around the smaller man's waist. toxin was nearly asleep, cheeks red with embarrassment and because of the cold air.

edgar found it adorable, knowing that no matter what- toxin was always going to be shy like this. always blushing bright red, heavily contrasting the green hues that he surrounded himself with. he couldn't think of a more perfect look for his boyfriend than blushing, hiding behind the striped green and white sleeves of his favorite sweater. edgar was so lucky... unbelievably so.

toxin's breathing changed for a moment, hitching on an inhale, before evening back out. that was edgar's sign he should get to sleep, too, before morning crept up his back again. pressing his lips softly against the top of a messy head of green hair, a hum started low in his chest. his eyes slid shut, hugging tighter to the body curled up against him. if every night could go so sweetly, he'd be happy forever.
