Q: Can we make wirks of our own?
A: Yes you can!

Q: Do Wirks have fur? Like specifically Erdes? Is their body just a smooth skin or short smooth fur or something like that?
A: Wirks usually have short smooth fur! Can be long too, or they can have scales if they're a saltwater Viz

Q: Are all the wirk ocs going to be in the same universe all together? Or is it a situation of "do whatever you want with them"? Like whether they'd automatically be in the same universe alongside everyone else's Wirks here, or I'd have to do something on my own?
A: Both! All Wirks exist in the same universe, but I'm not gonna stop you from using them outside of it either

Q: Are they limited with colors? Like depending on what wirk it is or such?
A: The only color limitation is that they can only glow one color! They have some colors that are more common among a given tribe, but no strict limitations
Aer tend to be more light in color, lots of blues and purples, gold and yellow aren't uncommon either
Erde tend to be browns, oranges and yellows
Firth tend to lean towards more plant-y colors like greens, oranges and reds
Umbra tend to be warm colored, so anything from red to pink to yellow. Also, they tend to be darker!
Viz, who could've guessed, tend to have cooler colors like blue purple and greens

Q: What kind of style names do they have?
A: There's no specific naming rules! If you have a peek at the masterlist you'll see some names them bbs have! A lot of them are just one word names, but something warriors-esque would work too, like Cloudhide (just came up with that, holy shit that would be a cute name for a cat), Mapleheart etc etc
I'd probably say steer clear of the common Franks, Bobs, Marks, etc, but less common human names like Wisteria, Helia, Archibald would still work! Titles like "The Hallow" are also good beans

Q: Is there a limit to how many wirks one can create?
A: The only limit is for mixed wirks; those are one MYO per person for the time being. Other than that, feel free to make as many as you like!

Q: What's a MYO?
A: It's an abbreviation of Make Your Own

Q: Is this considered an open or closed species?
A: Semi-closed! Mixed Wirks are a little more off limits but normal wirks are free to make as many as ya want

Q: Is there gonna come more traits somewhere down the line in the future? Or are the traits pretty set in place?
A: There will be more traits. Especially rare ones, so it's harder for y'all to choose >:)

Q: What is a baby wirk called? Do they have different names depending on the tribe?
A: In general, they're called pups! The tribes have their own nicknames for them too; Erde call theirs pebbles, Umbra blazelets, Firth buds (as in flower bud), Aer winglets, Viz pearls!

Q: Are they live birth or egg-laying?
A: They're egg-laying mammals!

Q:  I'm also curious about the early life of a wirk. What would it look like. What kind of family dynamics would they have? Would it be more solo style, where one parent takes care of the child(ren) or would both have a part, maybe neither would? Would it be different for each tribe?
A: I'd say that kind of depends on the family itself. Wirk tend to have close relationships with their family, but that's not always the case.

Specific lifestyles I can think of though;
Aer pups would be kept inside the mountain territory until they learn to summon their wings and fly. Of course, some don't need to summon their wings if they have full feathered wings. Winglets with that trait take a while longer to learn to fly, to develop their muscles and learn to catch the wind. Magic wings draw wind to them, so they don't have much of a problem getting air
Firth are taught about whichever forest they live in, taken on walks throughout the area to get used to it, taught about the predators they might face, and gradually they can venture further and further by themselves. They know of the Hallow, so they don't fear getting lost
Umbra are taught to watch their flames and spikes, since both can be quite harmful to other creatures. While it's uncommon for umbra flames to catch things on fire, it does still happen. They have a more territorial patriarch, so Umbra are taught the ways of fighting, should they ever need to defend themselves or their homes

Q: I'm curious as to what would happen should an Aer's wing(s) be torn or otherwise broken?
A: Since the wings are magic, they regenerate with time! Partly and fully feathered wings though, take much more time to heal and relearn to fly

Q: I'm also curious on if there can be some wirks with especially high or low affinity with magic. Like to what extent would that even be?
A: I'm working on some magic traits for the wirks with higher magic affinity! The "in case of limb loss" traits are magical traits!
All wirks can control their elements a small amount though, for example; an Aer could create a light gust of wind. Erde can make the ground softer than it usually would be, to make it easier to dig. Firth can control plants to a small degree, for example make it easier to weave a basket without our magical human thumbs. Umbra already have their flames, but they can shape normal flames. Viz can create bubbles of air in water or water bubbles above ground, can also move water in some amounts.
