Bitter

Lagoona one of the many people in this town. Everyone knew eachother since the town is small. People revered to Lagoona as distant and bitter but mostly cynical and choleric. 

They explained her past and it made sense why she was this way. It all happened 3 years ago when Lagoona had first moved. She had to attend a school ment for humans. Most humans don’t trust anything they havnt seen yet. Only later when other humanoids joined the town they became kind and accepted her. Her first day of high school was relatively normal. “Hey I am Lagoona and I’ve jus moved here!” Lagoon waved to her classmates who where whispering. She didn’t think anything about it. “Hey I’m Naomi!” A girl said to her. “Im Lagoona!” Naomi and Lagoona quickly became inseparable Lagoona would tell Naomi anything. From secrets to the difficulties she and her family and to go through. Her family and her mostly where discriminated because they where different. Kids would throw eggs at their house. Last week they even threw a brick through the window and the people from the repair shop still won’t fix it. Her parents are way to tolerant she says to Naomi. Who nodded. It was only a matter of time that Lagoona invited Naomi to her house. “Hey do you want to hang out at my house today?” Lagoona asked Naomi. She hesitated “I’m sorry lagoona! I got loads of homework and my grade depends on it!” Lagoona understood but this wasn’t the first time she didn’t want to come with her to her house. Lagoona quickly doubted her self and confronted Naomi. “Hey is there something wrong with me?” Lagoona asked. Naomi fell silent and looked at Lagoona like you know what is wrong. ”You’re just a little different .” Naomi said Lagoona saw the same look as every other kid had when she walked past a mix of disgust and fear. “Why would you be kind to me in the first place?” Lagoona asked trying to understand. “It was a dare and I’ve given up” and with that Naomi walked away to another group of girls. Lagoona’s world fell down. It didn’t take long for school to end but it took forever for lagoona. She could feel all eyes stare at her like she was some sort of attraction. She ran home and locked her self up in her room. “Honey are you okay?” Her dad said knocking on her door. “Yes I’m fine!” She said holding her tears back. Days passed and Lagoona grew bitter and colder with them. Day she came to school again she ignored everyone. Even Naomi was ignored. Another week passed and a few more humanoid families joined the town. “Look Lagoona I realised the past couple days I really miss you as a friend and I’m sorry!” Naomi said. But lagoona just looked at her. “I don’t give second chances.” She said in a cold voice. With Lagoona growing bitter and cold her temper also grew smaller. “Please. Forgive me” Naomi said again. Lagoona looked mad at her. “Are you seriously so dumb that I have to repeat my self?!” She yelled. Naomi was shocked to hear this. Lagoona walked away and never looked back. She didn’t had any friends anymore not even other humanoids. She burned her diary at the night she decided to be independed and not to rely on any social conection. A few weeks went by people started to notice the change in Lagoona’s behaviour and somewhat tried talking to her. But none was worth trying she had promised herself. The rumours about Naomi spread to the school and she somewhat got bullied because of it but even after all this time lagoona couldn’t care less. She did bad at school she saw no use in it. She got a small paying job but even there she won’t put up a smile for the customers. Here parents finally got their window fixed and got an apology which didn’t make sense. Lagoona sat in her room al day long watching movies and isolating her from the outside world. Maybe someday another person will come into her live and make her smile again maybe even let her talk more. But till then there’s not much they could do..
