Rank Up: The Noibat

Joypaw breathed in. This was her last task as an apprentice before she was made into a full medic. She thought carefully about what her mentor had told her to gather. She was looking for Chamomile as Snowstar was traveling to the mirror pool tonight to speak wif StarClan. Joypaw sniffed the air to make sure there were no other warriors nearby before walking out of the camp entrance and emerging into the outside world. Egg knew exactly where to go to find the herbs so they ran quickly. As they neared the herbs they heard a loud yelp of pain. Joypaw stopped and perked eggs ears to find the source of the noise. It cried out again and Joypaw followed it. She stumbled upon a Noibat. Joypaw approached and the Noibat instantly moved away before yelping in pain again. “Hey..It’s okay. I want to help you.” Joypaw said. The Noibat squinted at her before relaxing. “I was flying when suddenly I was attacked by a Pidgeotto. It was out of nowhere.” Joypaw examined the wing. It wasn’t broken but it did have a long cut going down it, the blood was still fresh. “Stay here,” She said before disappearing into the bushes. She ran over to a tree and grabbed some Cobwebs off of it. She turned around and looked around the area. Suddenly she spotted some poppies. She shook the plant gently until some poppy seeds fell out, she scooped them up and ran back to the Noibat. She treated the wound wif the Cobwebs and gave the poppy seeds to the Noibat. She thought for a moment. “You should come back to camp wif me so I can monitor you for the next few days.” The Noibat looked startled but did not fight as the poppy seeds were taking effect. It nodded before it slipped into a sleep. Joypaw picked up the Noibat gently and headed back towards camp. Egg may have not gotten the Chamomile but this Noibat was more important.
