Naya is known to be quite the matchmaker in town. Some of the akis she has introduced to each other have gone on to have multiple litters, and often thank her for helping them. Despite her romantic nature and good eye for matching personalities, love somehow seemed to elude Naya.

She did search for someone for herself but found little luck until she wandered into the local library.

Skimming the aisles, Naya mindlessly read the various titles to herself, none really catching her eye. Finally arriving at the romance section, she found another aki, blocking the entire section with a cart full of books. The aki blocking the way was mostly white but had patches of black and purple running through her coat. She seemed to be struggling to place a book back on a higher shelf, wobbling on her hindlegs and straining.

Stepping forward, Naya said "Do you need a hand?" The other aki startled and yelped, dropping awkwardly back onto four feet, the book falling out of her talon as well. "Oops, I didn't mean to scare you." Naya rushed forwards, picking up the book awkwardly.

The other aki smiled awkwardly, "Thank you, and it's ok, I get scared by silly stuff all the time." She took the book back from Naya, and set it back on her cart full of other books.

"Actually, I would love your help, I can never reach the top shelf," The other aki laughed, offering the book back to Naya.

Naya smiled, "Sure thing," and rose to her hind legs, bracing one talon on a lower shelf and easily sliding the book into place.

Settling back onto her four feet Naya smiled at the other aki. "Oh! I'm Kora," the white ali said, ears tilting backwards sheepishly.

Naya nodded,"My name is Naya, and this is somehow my first time in the library." she laughed lightly. "I love romance books but somehow never though to look for them here."

Kora smiled, "That actually happens a lot, everyone buys their books or trades them around with friends. I'm glad you came by, more than just to help me. Do you need help finding anything specific?" Kora asked, motioning towards the books.

Naya nodded, glancing back at the shelves before her. "I was hoping to find something beachy, before it starts snowing here." Kora grinned, looking like she knew exactly what Naya was looking for.

Kora stepped out from around the book and towards Naya, her soft fur brushing against hers in the narrow aisle, making Nayas hackles raise, flushed. Kora turned quickly on her hind foot with a book in hand.

"I've got just the thing. This one is called Coral Coincidence, it's super cheesy and the cutest summer romance I've read in a while." Naya took the book and looked over the cover, the silhouettes of two akis standing illuminated by a beautiful pink and orange sunset over the ocean.

"It's perfect, thank you!" Naya said, holding it tight to her chest and blushing at Kora.

Kora grinned, "Great! Let me set you up with a card for that, so you can come visit me again and I can help you find more."

Naya nodded and followed Kora out of the narrow aisle and up to the front desk. Kora took a card and wrote Naya's name on it, taking a small gold deposit from her as well.

"You're all set! When you're done, you just bring it back here and I give you your card back. And when you pick a new book, I hold onto your card while you have it out." Kora explained, writing down a note on another piece of paper to the side.

Naya nodded, not having been to a library since she was a pup and glad Kora was taking the time to explain It.

"Thank you so much, I'll see you soon! I read fast." Naya admitted, taking the book back from Kora.

"Great! I'm excited to hear what you think about it." Kora responded, waving as Naya turned and left.
