Evelyn ‘Eve’ Elsberry is the daughter of railroad tycoon Cornelius Elsberry. She's a Chartreux feline with long black hair.

Eve's parents had her at a fairly young age (18-19), and her mother passed shortly after giving birth to Eve.

Cornelius somewhat resents Eve for that and didn't want to raise a child on his own. He mainly brushed her off onto a house maid or the nanny, lacking any sort of affection for her. He and Asa Sweet were childhood best friends, and kept close over the years. Eve fondly refers to Asa as her uncle.

When Eve entered her preteens, Cornelius sent her away to a prestigious boarding school. She begged Asa to talk her father out of it, but he didn't want to get involved in family matters. Told her that Cornelius just wanted the best for her. It strained their relationship and made Eve distance herself from Asa for several years.

At the boarding school, Eve endured trauma due to the cruelty of the teachers there (punishing her for small mistakes, making her a nervous wreck when she does something wrong, ect). It caused Eve to fully lose all faith in her father for sending her there and that she shouldn't get close to anyone ever again or risk being hurt. Deep down she thinks it's her fault for being unlovable so she pushes herself to please others and not be a failure out of her need for validation/love.

After boarding school, she returns to her father who then immediately sends her off to Asa so she can learn how to run a business/be independent/ect for when she inherits the family estate/business. Eve once again is hurt by her father sending her away. She goes without issue.

Eve gets close with Asa again while she works at the Maribel Hotel as their pianist. He refers to her as his niece (sometimes slipping up to others and calling her his daughter), and gives her a lot more freedom as he feels somewhat guilty for her being sent away/for her not having much of a childhood. She runs errands for him and anything else he may ask of her. They have lunch together fairly often and she's mainly seen with him in public. He's somewhat overprotective of her and has staff/his employees keep an eye on her from afar.

Eve spends most of her days working at the hotel or around her uncle. When off work, she likes to sketch or paint (as her dream had always been to be an artist). She prefers to keep to herself most of the time until she's comfortable with someone.
