~ When the world was born, it was perfect, in the sense that humans did not exist to taint it, and so nature was everywhere to thrive without destruction. The first God was born, known as Vosska. She was an apparition of blue flames, curious at first. Her powers known to her were destruction, and she discovered this by bringing havoc to the land by polluting waters, destroying mountains and burning forests. Out of the ashes of her flames, a second God was born by the universe. He was simply known as "The Shepherd", and his powers were those of life. As he came known throughout the land by its various creatures, he was eventually known as Shep, for short. And by respectable creatures who worshiped him, they would pray to "Raja" a name that they had given him, meaning "The Savior". Jealous and full of hate for the world, Vosska set to burning the most holy forest in the world known as "The Forest of all Life". At this moment, Shep appeared to her in the midst of the ashes. Vosska stood on the side of the living, ready to set flame to all that was beautiful. On the side of the dead stood Shep, pleading with her to cease her destruction. For a moment's breath, they stood nose to nose, eyes locked in a battle of godly determination. Just as Vosska spat out her last threat to bring the world to an end, Shep admitted his admiration for her, having fallen in love at first sight. Moved by emotion, Vosska and Shep forged a treaty to keep the world in perfect balance. Life and death must exist together, for without one another, the other would not exist.

~ With his powers, Shep uses life to restore damaged areas, clean polluted lands, and pave the way for nature to thrive. Vosska, the opposite, causes war and havoc, allows fire to exist, and manifests the experience of death itself. They both must exist in the world, and they are drawn together like Yin and Yang. As the result of their influences on the world, they have become drawn to each other, and act as friendly rivals with each other, often playing a game of "good vs evil" to see who will prevail the other. But deep down exists the feeling of true love within them. Without each other, they wouldn't have work to do, and they wouldn't have a place on the earth.

~ Vosska herself represents the Seven Deadly Sins and is the embodiment of them all. Her emotions influence the feeling of these sins, and she even encourages them to manifest in people and creatures alike. Shep, on the other hand, represents the Seven Heavenly Virtues, and rewards anyone who displays these acts and lives with happy thoughts. These are displayed in the table below:

The Seven Deadly SinsLust (Luxuria)Wrath (Ira)Pride (Superbia)Greed (Avaritia)Gluttony (Gula)Sloth (Acedia)Envy (Invidia)
The Seven Heavenly VirtuesChastity (Castitas)Patience (Patientia)Humility (Humilitas)Charity (Caritas)Temperance (Temperantia)Diligence (Industria)Kindness (Humanitas)

~ Any human or creature can summon the essence of Vosska or Shep by simply praying on the word of their chosen sin or virtue. This is done by chanting or meditating on the Latin word counterpart of the emotion. In the early days of the earth's birth, all creatures once knew these Latin words, yet they were mostly forbidden to say aloud, most of them have been forgotten by both human and creature.
