Early Life

Birth

Myth's birth was somewhat mysterious; he was born as a vespire might but instead of a geode with a hardened stone shell, his was a delicate looking crystal with ice-like facets delicately wrapped as if it were the gentle petals of a flower bud. Many thought it was simply a strange looking crystal, sprouting up amongst the countless that made up the structure of the Lucid Altar. To everyone's surprise, his crystal bloomed after some time, petals untwisting to reveal a pale blue baby pouflon and leaving a beautiful, blue crystal flower in his wake. The caretakers of the Lucid Altar were confused, but they would not leave a helpless newborn without care. Surrounded by vespires, the days old Myth had no real idea that he was any different, the other children did not treat him much differently than any other geode and the care he received in his first few days gave him much needed confidence that he would carry with him throughout his life.

It was weeks after his 'hatching' that a rough looking vespire came to claim him - though she did resemble him quite a bit, the caretakers were reluctant to let their precious crystal bloom - "little blue" - leave but they did eventually relent. Myth was sad to leave his friends at the Lucid Altar but the prospect of getting to meet his parents and live the rest of his life in the happiness that the caretakers and other children seemed to believe in was exciting. The vespire who he would come to call his mother was stoic and silent nearly the whole way back to their camp and upon arrival Myth's many questions would multiply tenfold.

Childhood

His mother's vespire gang lived rough and traveled often, Myth would spend less than a month with them before, late at night, he would be scooped up given to a pouflon whom he had never met. She would take him to Chrysanthos, claim that this is where he belonged and that he was 'home'. This pouflon - his pouflon mom - gave him his name, Mythralos.

Unfortunately, Myth would not adjust well to life in the social elite in Chrysanthos. There were many rules and he had to meet and talk to may pouflons, he was made to learn things that he didn't want to and the things he did want to do were frowned upon for a 'nice young pouf of his standing'. His pouflon mother, who had high hopes and wanted Myth to fit in and feel comfortable made the difficult decision to return him to his vespire mom. Much in the same way that he was originally brought to Chrysanthos, under the cover of night, he was returned to his mom and her gang.

He lived and roamed the Ebony Wreath with them until his late teens, learning much about living wild and his bond with his mom would strengthen over this time - where she originally was reluctant to have him with her and even went so far as to try to shelter him from their way of life, she would welcome him into her gang whole heartedly and everyone treated him as one of them. It was one of the only times that Myth felt truly connected to others and part of a family.

Teens/Young adulthood

Myth's happy childhood would come to an abrupt end, one so devastating it changed his entire outlook on life. His mom's gang was known to the border patrols between the Ebony Wreath and Obrille; given that Obrille housed the knight academy, it went without saying that they often clashed with the knights and knights-in-training. Myth's mom did her best to keep him out of their troubles with the guards, but on one fateful day, a clash with a group of trainees would cross the line.

Unbeknowst to Myth and his family, unable to face to truth of her son's origin and unable to come up with an acceptable excuse, his pouflon mother would claim that Myth had been taken by vespires all those years ago. The story she told very much making it seem as if it was against her and myth's will - a crime that would be seen as serious as Mythralos was of noble blood. This lie is what fueled the terrible clash at the Obrille border.

Though the gang tried their best to avoid the border when they could, one of their favorite camping spots for the summer was in a sliver of grassy land in the southernmost end of the Ebony Wreath, just below Obrille. In good spirits, they travelled during the day, hoping to reach their camp site by the early afternoon so that they could spend the warmer hours by the inlet. A border patrol caught them as they passed, though they were still on the side of the Ebony Wreath, many of the knights knew of the gang and were always on the lookout for the 'troublemakers'. Myth was usually not with the gang on large outings like this, but as they were all moving to a new camp, he was present. The leader of the group of knights recognized him, having been told years before of the disappearence of the only son of a noble family.

Claiming that Mythralos had to come to them, that they would take him back to his family, the knights attempted to convince the gang to let Myth go. Predictably, as the gang was all Myth had known, he and his vespire family refused. Due to ambitious young knights in training, the situation escalated and got out of control. In a bid to protect her friends and her son, Myth's mom threw herself between the advancing pouflons and her life would be cost of their safety.

His mom's death would change him forever, though he grew to know that he was not a vespire, he was a part of their family, he was the leader's son and all the members of the gang were his brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles and cousins and pouflons took that away from him; his mother was gone because pouflons hated them. He became angry, lashing out whenever he felt overwhelmed with loss. Not wanting to take out anything on his family and feeling like it wasn't his place to lead them - he may hate pouflons but he was no vespire - he left, going off on his own and eventually finding his way to Banelaire where he, unfortuately, met Viranthyr.

After escaping from the clutches of Viran's influence, Myth left  Banelaire in search of his family. Now that he knew he was a  vespire,  he felt he could return to them, he felt he could lead them as  his  mother had. But he would find very little trace of them, he knew  their  habits and their typical camp spots but there was no sign of them  out  in the Ebony Wreath. Myth did not feel hopeless though, he built himself  a home near to a crossroads of sorts of the gang's usual routes,  promising himself to find and reunite with them again one day.
