A shriek echoed across the house, followed by the sound of something slamming into the wall.

"How could they have forgotten Ebony?" Kora yelled, standing in the open doorway. The large ty-sca had gotten up from where he had slammed into the wall and was staring curiously at her.

"Ebony, please, chill out," Kora begged, slowly stepping inside and gently closing the door behind her. Kora knew Ebony was older than her but had no idea how long ty-sca lived for and was frankly afraid of him suddenly dropping dead at any second. She had this image in her mind of her bringing Ebony's lifeless body back to the Tsunami and Inge being so horrified and heartbroken that they banished Kora, Harley, and Verbena from the crew, forcing her parents to have to move in with Kora and Naya. Petrified, Kora began moving slowly around the room, away from the bird, who was watching her every move. Suddenly, Naya slammed open the door, "Kora you have to see this!" She yelled, running inside, and slamming the door louder than Kora imagined was possible.

"Naya no!" She shrieked, as Ebony startled and took off, narrowly avoiding crashing into the ceiling. Ebony squawked loudly, diving past Nayas's head, and crashing into the closed door. "What is going on?" Naya exclaimed, dashing to stand next to Kora, who shushed her. "Somehow my parents forgot to take Ebony back with them, but I didn't even see them bring him with them here!" Kora whispered, the bird scrambling to its feet and looking around the room. "I don't think he's ever been inside before!" she added. "Oh, poor bird." Naya said quietly, trying to come up with a plan. "Does he know you? Like will he follow you if we get him outside?" Naya asked, pressing her side against Kora's. Kora thought about it, thinking back to all the games she used to play with Ebony as a kid, realizing that he was actually very intelligent. "Yeah, he'll follow me if I talk to him," Kora responded, watching as the black bird stepped awkwardly around in the living room, using his beak to step up onto their couch. "So, can we just talk him back to the ship? They're still here, right?" Naya asked, the bird now tugging at the on/off string of one of the lamps, seemingly trying to turn it on. Kora nodded, seeming to understand the plan. Naya slowly made her way back to the front door, opening it when Kora was stood in front. "Hey Ebony, come on, lets go back to the ship," Kora said gently, immediately catching the birds attention. "Tsunami?" Ebony said awkwardly, hopping off of the couch and waddling towards her. Kora began slowly walking out of the house and into the street. "Come on, Ebony, lets go!" She called, twitching her tail nervously. Once outside, Ebony flapped his wings like he wanted to take off, but instead just hopped onto Kora's back. "Alright!" Naya exclaimed, pumping her fist victoriously. Ebony startled and took off again, causing the two girls to shriek and take off running after him.
