But Why?

Lunis flitted around the egg nervously. It was a big responsibility to be trusted by Sol to take care of the egg they'd found. Though Lunis suspected they'd been picked for the task because everyone else was currently neck deep in some sort of project. She'd just happened to be on a very brief break. Though now they supposed that the break would be extended depending on how long it was going to take for the egg to hatch. Lunis adjusted it in the nest that Quasar had so kindly put together for her after realizing she had no idea what she was doing. Based on what the rayquaza had told them the egg shouldn't require too much attention, but still Lunis was going to remain on her non existent toes.

After Lunis had settled down some they began to wonder why their division was taking care of the egg at all. Sol had been the one to say they should take on the responsibility but... why? Was this egg of some sort of importance to their research? Was it just something their division leader wanted to do out of the kindness his heart? She huffed a small sigh, so many questions and absolutely no answers. Perhaps she'd be able to answer some of them after the egg hatched. Yes, that sounded like a good plan to them. With a plan in motion she found it much easier to just settle down and keep tabs of the egg. Hopefully it would hatch soon.
