Tiny Woods Patrol: Sablepaw

The Nanabclan Eevee Delibird fusion apprentice tilted his head as he looked between the two Pokemon before him. A Bewear and Duduo, he was not sure if he had ever really seen a Bewear or Duduo before. He had hoped that he could talk a solution out between the two, while he did not know either of the Pokemon before him, he liked to try and smooth over issues before they got out of hand. Plus he had been thinking about trying to be a mediator when he ranked up, so perhaps this would be good practice!

Lifting a paw up and pressing it against his own chin as he thought. "Well...? You don't hug too hard with the intention of hurting others, right?" They asked finally, sitting their paw back down and glancing up at the much taller bear Pokemon. Instantly they shook their head, waving their arms in front of them for a second. "Of course not!" Beside them, the left Duduo head snorted. "They get way too excited and just don't think about how not everyone else is as strong as them." The Bewear looked down at the ground in shame, clearly feeling embarrassed by their lack of patience.

The bird Pokemon sighed as the right head added their own clarifications. "We don't dislike being hugged, in fact we like hugs! We find it hard to express ourselves and sometimes hugs make us feel better. But we're like twigs compared to you, dude." Sablepaw nodded as he listened, giving a friendly smile in hopes it'd help the bear feel better. "It sounds like you just need help learning to stop and think. Not let your excitement get out of hand before you've had a chance to actually consider other factors. There is nothing wrong with wanting to show the Pokemon you care about affection, but it should be something that's nice for all parties involved." 

Then he shuffled his paws and laughed in a nervous tone. "Honestly, I'm not actually sure if I'm the best Pokemon to help with that, I can tend to be a pretty excitable guy myself." Sablepaw admitted shyly, but then did a little excited bounce as he had a thought, all four paws momentarily lifting off the ground. "Oh! Though, maybe we can learn together! I always tend to rush and be overwhelming for others because I get too excited, and you tend to accidently hurt people with your hugs because you get too excited." 

He turned his attention to the Duduo next to them. "Would you maybe want to help us brainstorm? I know you don't really know me, but you guys are friends with them." They said, gesturing towards the Bewear. "You know them better than me, so maybe you would have good insight on ways that would help them focus a bit more?"

Though they sighed again, Sablepaw caught a small smile on both faces of the Duduo's two heads before they nodded in agreement. They clearly did not hold any deep anger at the bear Pokemon, it was just that obviously being absolutely crushed each time your best friend hugs you is not ideal. Sablepaw turned around and motioned downwards on the beach. "Come on, I know where some berry bushes are. We can have lunch together and brainstorm while we eat." 

He laughed a bit. "Plus, I don't know about you guys, but I do my best thinking on a full stomach." And maybe he could see if they were interested in joining Nanabclan. The pair nodded, and followed him as he led them to the bushes.
