A limp, robotic shell laid there on the floor before them. It’s service door, open. One last thing was needed.

Milo held up a small vial to Interro. Inside it, a small piece of a pink soul.

“Where’d you get that?” Interro questioned, reaching a hand towards it. Milo grabbed her hand before she could touch it. Milo said nothing in response.

“[I would] [like you] [to do] [the honors.]”

Interro’s hand squirmed in his surprisingly strong grip. “Well, if you want me to put it in there, you’d better give it to me first.”

“[You must] [listen to] [me carefully.]” Milo spoke, his limited facial expression getting more serious. His grip on Interro tightened, as if he were trying to wring all of her visible annoyance out of her body.

“[The soul,] [when you] [take it] [out, will] [hurt you.] [You have] [to be] [quick, okay?]”

Milo’s newly softer tone eased Interro. He dropped her hand, and handed her the vial.

She stared down at it. The small fragment, neon pink and diamond shaped, glistened in the light of the room. The vial felt warm.

Interro kneeled down towards the robotic husk, holding its service door wide open with one of her three hands. With the other two, she hastily opened the vial and took the soul piece out.

As soon as it touched her hand, her entire body swelled with a powerful energy. It felt like the room had suddenly started to spin, and she felt more dizzy and motion sick than she had ever felt in her entire life. She couldn’t help but gag a little. She plunged her hand in the machine, clicking the fragment into place as fast as possible. When she pulled her hand away, she swayed back on the ground, nearly losing consciousness.

The machine in front of them began to whirr to life; its’ antennae straightening up, its’ fans starting, its’ screen flickering on and displaying eyes that are now seeing the world for the first time.

Interro quickly scrambled into a sitting position, leaning forward and jaw dropping in awe. She looked to Milo, seeing a similar but limited amount of surprise on his plush face. The machine blinked at the two strange figures in front of it, tilting its head slightly to the side. Milo leaned down to eye level with the machine, speaking to it gently and with warmth.

“[Good morning,] [dear L3GATRON.]”
