Lichenwish Friendship

Huckleberry is kind of his closest friend and his closest enemy. They were found by the Clan together, although they didn't actually know each other yet at that point. But it had made a great start for friendship - and endless annoyance from Huckleberry. He got on Lichenwish's nerves like no other, but still, they spent each day hunting together. This left more room for annoyance, but it was hard for him to care how annoying he was when he was also so... charming.

Huckleberry thought it was funny to mess him up when he was stalking prey. Once in a while, he'd even swoop in and catch it in front of him. Every time, he had to fight the urge to claw his stupid ears off, and wipe that smirk off his face. If it was anyone else, he probably wouldn't be resisting. That cat had a way of looking at him, though, with that stupid smug face of his, and with a flick of his tail Lichenwish wouldn't be able to unsheathe his claws. Not that he was some sort of wizard or anything, he just couldn't bring himself to claw at his best friend.

Maybe that's why he was his closest enemy - because he was also his closest friend. Loving him so dearly only made him a hundred times more irritating.
