Then Guzma spread himself on the couch next to him, wrapped his arms around the trainer, and simply said, “I wanna kiss you.”

Alright, the secrecy made sense now, “We’re not supposed to,” Orion hissed, trying to hide the fact that his cheeks had turned as pink as the hair falling around them. “Not here, not in the middle of the day–”

Guzma let out a snicker, “You don’t want to?”

     “It’s not– that.”

“Hey, indulge me for a second, wont'cha?”

It was phrased as a question, but Guzma didn’t leave Orion much choice. A hand had already grasped his forearm before he could help it, pulling him back and away towards the nearest open door.  A small, unoccupied room. As dusty and abandoned as the rest of the Team Skull hideout.

“Sit down on the couch and wait for me?” the leader waved him off.

“Can I help you?” Orion asked, because what else was he supposed to say?

Guzma didn’t reply right away, but he did let go of his partner, only to grab onto the doorframe and peek outside. By the way, he turned with a cheeky grin, the coast was as clear as he had hoped.  Even then, when there was a risk to be had, he didn’t bother to shut the door before joining Orion at his self-appointed rendezvous spot.

That was Guzma, for you. Unpredictable and quick-paced, making decisions left and right without assuming he owed people an explanation. One second the trainers had been leaning against a wall, talking strategy on their upcoming Pokemon battle. The next, Guzma was hiding Orion away without a lick of context, just some ominous request and the reassurance of isolation.

Even so, Orion knew him better than anyone else. Rugged looks, bad manners, and a punk-rock attitude did little to hide the fact that, with him around, there was no decision Guzma would take that would ever make Orion uncomfortable. He didn’t get why there was so much need for secrecy all of a sudden.

“Hey, there’s no one around,” the bleached blonde melted against the couch, so very close to Orion. That warmth felt nice and inviting. Convincing, even. Almost too convincing.

“I don’t know,” Orion mumbled, still unsure. His eyes zeroed in on the door, thinking of all the signs of company Guzma could have missed, all of the people who could walk in on them, all the consequences of their relationship coming out to the rest of their team. They weren’t supposed to be dating, after all.

“Listen to me, Doll,” Guzma said, voice softer than it had any right to be. It surprised Orion, who turned to face him with an open mouth. His lover’s eyes were just as soft as his words, “They don’t matter right now. It’s just you and me, alright?”

“... just one,” a sigh, as he leaned into Guzma’s embrace. Their noses brushed against each other’s.

“Or two, or three?” Guzma asked, hopeful. He raised a good point– if they were to kiss in secret, they might as well make it worth it.

Orion chuckled, endeared, “Or two, or three,” he said and allowed himself to get lost in the sensation.

If they kissed more than three times, well. No one was around to see it.
