The hot sun beat down on the black asphalt that was once roads that lead to various places surrounded by buildings that now just looked like hallow skeletons that sat in place as the plant life grew through them like veins. The cracked road now dull to what it once was with dirt covering it in places and the leftover footprints to those who dared to explore the urban areas of the island, most stuck away from the creepy half held buildings and leftovers of civilization that once bloomed with life. Overgrown trees overhung the streets with vines climbing out from them onto nearby buildings. It was very quiet in the area but two dinosaurs found themselves exploring the vast area as they couldn’t keep themselves out of trouble it seemed and what better place to go finding some.

“ Come on Erythros keep up, we are going to miss out on all the good stuff , who knows who else has been out here before us” a large black and blue scaled pachy said stopping as she awaited for her friend Erythros. The two often visited the abandoned urban areas of the island as they loved finding various items and trinkets.. oh and let’s not forget the trouble that the place held.

Erythros had met Shatterdome awhile ago and the two had clicked blossoming a friendship that was one of rowdy-ness and danger seeking, but today she was slowly taking in the abandoned area as she never had been here before so it was all new to her. “Shatter aren’t you worried something is out here..” she mumbled under her breath as she trotted to catch up to Shatter who was well ahead of her , her red eyes stopping on every building they passed getting caught up in the wonder of them.

Shatter stopped to look back with a grin as she jumped up on a old car that was rundown covered in plant life and dirt “ I have been out here so many times, there is nothing but trinkets and your favorite spiked stuff out here I promise , least I have never run into anything” she said looking down at Erythros who was looking into the old cracked mirror of the car. “Besides don’t you want to find some more spikey stuff, there’s lots of it out here” she added before jumping down as they were coming up on a large building that had been rundown for years full of dusk and creaking from the decay of it.

The two soon entered the building through a hole through the side that was covered in thick vines as Shatter led the way letting out a honk that echoed through the skeleton of the building, Shatter came here often so showing Erythros was fun for her. Erythros followed behind as she ducked into the hole taking in the large building as she let out a gasp “whoa look how big this place is, I wonder what it used to be” she added walking slowly as Shatter had walked ahead of her.

Erythros had always heard about the urban areas of the island but she never thought they would be like this, the overgrown plant life that was able to grow on and inside the buildings had her puzzled but it looked cool nonetheless. Erythros sat down on the dirt taking in the abandoned place as she smiled slightly before watching Shatterdome smack into some old debris that sat in a pile making a loud sound as she had smacked into a hard surface, Erythros rolled her eyes before letting out a sigh.

“Your gonna hurt yourself like usual , I’m sure there’s some pointy or dangerous things out here that could fall Shatterdome” she said watching her rowdy friend shake off the blow. As Erythros watched Shatter she moved to the side walking further into the abandoned building as she looked at all the walls and vines that grew through Them, climbing the walls giving them some sort of life. She always wondered what was here before them, always hearing the stories of the urban areas of the island but this being her first time ever seeing it.

“I was always told there was nothing out here, it was just a waste land but look at all the life growing through the decay” she thought to herself as she saw a little opening through the wall that once was covered but now lay open, looking backwards as she moved through sticking her out of the hole. Erythros soon was out of the building and now in a courtyard type area that was bloomed with life but was surrounded by metal barriers. Puzzled, she took a seat down in the grass, taking in all the beauty as a large overgrown tree sat in the middle surrounded by various types of rocks. The urban area’s held so much life and story Erythros thought to herself , Shatter always told her it was just a wasteland of random stuff nothing about the plant life that the area held with most overgrown but it looked so pretty to her getting lost in her thoughts as she shook out of the daze “I wonder what that bone head is up to” she said looking back at the hole but not seeing Shatter at all before getting up. “Well let's go find her” she mumbled to herself walking back through the hole calling out for Shatterdome, hearing some rustling in the back of the building's area.

“Shatter where did you go, I’m going to get lost in this place” she said just before finishing her sentence seeing Shatter tangled up in some wire’s that were metal like but seemed to have cut her slightly as Erythros stopped “What is that stuff, and it looks like it hurt you” she said somewhat concerned about Shatter who was just playing around with it no problem.

“I think I heard some other dino call it wire, but something before that .. I can’t remember” she said as she pulled it out with her mouth into a more flat area “Isn’t cool, all spikey I told you I found stuff you’d like out here” Shatter said looking up at Erythros who’s eyes were wide now with excitement.

“Spiked things!!! You were right, look at this, it's so pokey! We should take some back with us. Just don’t cut yourself anymore dimwit” she said walking over to the wire item and taking it in her hands carefully “ see this way you won’t get cut from them” she added looking at Shatter who was tangled a bit before shaking her head letting out a chuckle. It was getting late now and it was probably a good idea to head back since the two didn’t know what kind of predators lurked or called the urban area’s their home. The two herbivores walked back outside the building and back onto the cracked ground as Erythros looked back at the large building once more before smiling they were going to be coming out here a lot more maybe even calling it their territory down the line but for now back to the forest’s they needed to go as this was only her first time.

“Come on slowpoke and bring your pokey wire with you, we are going to get more lost the darker it gets” Shatterdome called back to her as she waited for Erythros who was dazed but soon shook out of the thought as she honked “I am coming! Quiet you're gonna make everything here us” she said as she caught up with Shatter bumping into her playfully letting out a chuckle.

“We should come out here more often, I like it” Erythros said to Shatter as the two trotted side by side. As the two continued down from were they had come from the area became dark quickly the place once full of life during the day now dark and creepy, as the night enveloped it , not many came out here but the few that did got to enjoy the exploration and beauty the urban area’s had to offer it wasn’t just a nothingless wasteland of old buildings and cracked streets that lost their color. Erythros and Shatter had finally made it to the forest's edge as Shatter jumped through the thick brush waiting for Eythros who was taking her sweet time to get every drop of the area taken in before jumping the thick brush landing beside her on the other side.

“So what did you think Erythros? You like it” Shatter said as she continued walking looking at Erythros’s hands and the wire she held “What are you going to do with that anyways?” she added, awaiting an answer. Pale and dark pachy looked down at her hands and the wire “I am not sure yet but it's a memory for the first time being there and its pokey so you know I couldn’t leave it there gotta add to my collection”

“Fair enough” Shatter chuckled and playfully bonked Erythros in the side; the two continued on walking and exchanging laughs and reliving the adventure they just had.
