🌸 Weekly: Bunny Picnic

Blossom was elated, looking forward to enjoying the spring day outside among her friends with the possibility of seeing adorable little rabbits. The fuzzy little nose-wiggling creatures were a favorite of hers, and she knew they were a rare sight in the spring season. Mostly, they hung around deep within the forests to keep out of sight in the underbrush. However, during the middle of spring, it was common to see the cute little bundles hopping around the lush green grasses, munching on tasty bunny leaves, nibbling on nutritious wildflowers, lounging in the sun's rays, or just hopping around chasing each other. It was also a lucky time to witness, for the small little baby bunnies would be out and about with their parents, getting to know the world after living so long in the burrows, growing.

"This will be such a fun day!" Shrilled Arabelle, who was packing up the old brown picnic basket they used so often these days. The pink-toned hiro was not adorning her wings today due to their sheer size, considering the space of the kitchen. It was a roomy kitchen, don't get her wrong, but her wingspan was larger than normal, being a skylord, something most ships did not take into consideration unless made by an actual hiro skylord themselves. For now, her wing charm was glowing upon her back with the ever-famous orbs fluttering in her wake. She moved like a goddess amongst the ship, with a practical glow of a regal aura. Even in her wingless state, Arabelle was still remarkably impressive, something she wished to often downplay to seem common. Yet, in the throes of spring, everything was beautiful, sparkling, and new - a season she loved most since she almost fully blended into it.

"I can't wait to see the little bunnies! I am almost done here, and then we can leave," Blossom exclaimed, rushing to finish up the final touches to the tasty treats she was making for their picnic. Little sakura cupcakes with pink flowers and white rabbits painted on top with icing. With how much she worked in the kitchen, Blossom had become masterful with all its gifts. Cooking and baking were surely making a way for her in life, something she could do without needing any of her aspects even to survive. They were just add-ons to who she was, things she played with and dabbled in more than relied on nowadays. It was starting to make her life path as a possible professor at Aldbast or another prestigious school rather difficult to focus on, but it didn't keep her away from her studies, learning more, and acing her classes.

"You even added little bunny whiskers, those are adorable!" Arabelle touched both her cheeks before picking up Magna, the ship's kettlekat, to also allow them to take a look.

Magna had been at Blossom's feet, munching on any little scrap or icing drop the girl accidentally let go. Being the floor cleanup was not her usual goal, but with how delicious the little cakes were coming in smell, Magna could not help herself. So when Arabelle finally lifted her up to get to see what Blossom was painting, the kettlekat loved it even more. For she too adored the little bunnies of spring, finding them to be the softest of snuggle buddies and best tag players for their gentleness.

"Let me grab the coats..." Arabelle set Magna down after allowing the kettlekat a good view. "Oh... you should put some extra in there for Magna and Mama..." her words carried on as she went over to the closet, pulling out two Butterfly Wing Cloaks. Spare ones that the ship had for them to use. Arabelle, eager in her adventures with Blossom today, was quick to toss the Butterfly Wing Cloak around her and tie it at her throat. Then, to offset the balance, she adorned a proper brooch, clipped perfectly in the right area to give some weight off her neck and more on the shoulders. After placing on hers, even with Blossom moving to put more items in the picnic basket, Arabelle helped Blossom get her Butterfly Wing Cloak on as well.

"Oh, do not worry there. I've got the girls covered, that's for sure. Magna..." Blossom looked down at the kettlekat with a smile. She allowed Arabelle to toss the cloak around her and start tying and broaching it on her as well. "You get to have one of the bunny cakes. I am bringing some more extras for you to give to the rabbits if you manage to make some friends today." Blossom uplifted another Tupperware item, showing off the more natural carrot cakes she made. Icingless to keep the bunnies healthy, instead wrapped with a delicious mint or sesame leaf for added flavor. Both of which were loved by the rabbits from her readings. "As for Mama, I brought her a bowl of honey with biscuit crumbs to eat. The crumbs are from the rest of the bunny cake batter, and I thought she may like to eat it straight out of the honey bowl instead of small bite-sized cakes..."

"MOOOOOOROWWWWWWW!" Through the window, a loud groan came, startling both the girls and Magna. They turned their heads to find Mama had pushed the window open to stick her head there. Having heard and smelled the delicious things going on inside, she felt a bit left out waiting alone in the sun. A kitchen was no place for a dracor mount to be, especially considering her size compared to the door and kitchen itself. So she opted to make her presence known and appreciation felt by hanging in the window while the others got ready. A happy little smile rang on Mama's face, something that was usually replaced with that of drowsy sleep.

"Very thoughtful..." Arabelle spoke, laughing. "Mama appreciates your consideration for making her a delicious honey bowl and even adding the cake in..." The hiro translated for fun, crossing her arms to smirk as she made her way to the closet. Arabelle's goal was to get out the large gingham blanket to sit on and a good sturdy umbrella to set up and block them from the sun. The umbrella would help to keep them cool, but also the food and drinks they brought as well. Sure, there would be shade from nearby trees, but Arabelle just wanted to be one hundred percent certain they all would be comfortable.

"Oh, I didn't know you were a speech aspect?" Blossom teased, knowing good and well Arabelle only had one aspect unlocked under her. "Or do you just speak Dracor now?" Finishing up, she rushed to the kitchen fridge to open it up and get some freshly made lavender lemonade. Something the group enjoyed sipping on in the warm spring months. There was something refreshing and soothing about it for the girls, at least. Diaval had tried the liquid spring concoction once and said it tasted like bath soap.

"Ha! I wish," Belle thoughtfully pondered the idea of being a speech aspect browbird. Perhaps it would be something she would want to explore, considering then she might be able to actually chat with the nature she created, the pets of the ship, and strange creatures alike. "I can just tell by Mama's expression how happy she is to be included. These days, Cortado has been the star to get everyone from one place to the next. It was nice of Quinn to let us borrow her for a girls' day..."

"Indeed it was," Blossom immediately agreed, finishing the basket and grabbing it to leave. She felt a bit odd to have the Butterfly Wing Cloak on for the spring season after using it for warmth all winter. However, she understood it brought some protection and warmth from the colder breezes they would face later. It would also be fun to glide around with the bunnies below. "Let's go!"

Quickly, Blossom, Arabelle, and Magna began to apply their needed items to Mama's saddle mount. The dracor was eager and ready to spend the day flying with them, then enjoy a good patch of fresh grass. She had seen bunnies before and enjoyed their company, for, like Magna, how absolutely snuggly and soft they were. Even to the furred-out Dracor, Mama enjoyed touching them softly with a free clawed paw.

It was quick, and in a matter of minutes, the girls were saddled up and off into the sky Mama jumped. A few good bounding jumps before launching up and into the light of the day. Flying above the trees, they saw Diaval and Quinn down below playing baseball with Winnie and Medi. It appeared the others had slipped away for a sports day because if they all had one thing in common - the group was athletic and enjoyed sports.

For an hour or so, they flew, enjoying the views of the land below. They watched the scenery change from forest to beach, desert, and finally to their destination of rolling hills and meadows. A different set of trees, covered in white and pink flowers, surrounded them. The grass danced in a vibrant shade of green that shimmered yellow when blown in the breeze. Mixed in were an assortment of wildflowers, setting the scene perfectly for all the rabbits bounding about down below. Surprisingly, it appeared their group was the first ones to enjoy the company of the rabbits and their offspring. Landing down to find a good place to set up and enjoy.

The rabbits were braver than they should have been, or perhaps they knew of a good aura when meeting it. For no one in this group wished harm upon these precious creatures; in fact, they all would have defended the rabbits and bunnies with such vigor that even Medi, their ship captain and the warrior of the group, would have been proud.

"This looks nice, let's set up here," Arabelle pointed out a place half in tree shade, half not. They were quicker to set up the fun little picnic than they were to pack it up. Half of their work could have been considered magic, given how fast they got things going. Or it could have been in response to how used to setting up picnics they were recently. Belle lounged out upon the blanket with the intent to rest her head upon a rock for now, but instead, she was met with the whiskers of a large fat rabbit tickling at her cheek. In a matter of moments, the blanket was covered in the said rabbit's small offspring. Little white bunnies that made the whole group squeal. The large mother rabbit scurried under Arabelle's head to prop the hiro up as her children swarmed her.

"I can't believe how cute this is!" Blossom was in absolute heaven with a bunch of baby bunnies in her arms. Looking around, Magna also had her arms full, snuggling the little things, while Mama was being used as a jungle gym. The large Dracor had settled down right next to the blanket to enjoy her honey bowl, licking it up while the tiny little creatures bounced around on her.

"I guess the mother wants their children to know what we are," was the only thing Arabelle could respond with, giving an offering of carrot cake to the mother rabbit and some of her bunnies.

"With how small they are, I'm guessing that too!" Blossom gushed, finding one in particular she took a fond liking to. A little white and grey bunny with a heart shape in the middle of its head. Like Arabelle, Blossom wanted to give her offering of carrot cake, which was happily received by the bunnies. As they munched on their little cubes of cake, other rabbits and bunnies in the area came to check out what was being shared.

"Ha! I don't think we brought enough..." The pink hiro giggled with a tired, soft voice, enjoying the breeze and shade on her fur. Slowly, with the rhythmic breathing of the mother rabbit, the girl was finding herself completely relaxing. The soothingness of it mixed with her having sipped some lavender tea quickly brought the hiro girl to fall into a nap upon the picnic blanket.

Looking over to witness her friend falling asleep, Blossom continues her moments of silence, enjoying the company of the rabbits. All around her, the others were slowly finding their place for a nap. Second was Mama, who after downing her whole honey bowl, had crossed her arms to sleep on them. The giant bear now soothed out a snore with a small army of baby bunnies still climbing all over her. Third was Magna, who had curled up with two bunnies. The small creatures had practically disappeared within her fur, as they were as white as her own coloration. Now? It felt to be Blossom's turn. With as much effort they put into making the picnic, enjoying it, and then being loved by the rabbits and bunnies, she felt it was alright to drift off. No one was around, and no danger lurked here for the rabbits just yet. That was why they were so plentiful in the middle of spring. Plus, Blossom felt extremely comfortable with Mama nearby, a massive Dracor who could easily cause some damage in seconds.

"I'll join too," the snow lady's words yawned out, turning to rest on her side with the bunnies coming in closer. In a few short minutes, she too was asleep, and this was deemed a very successful picnic.
