Gentaro had questioned what her moans would taste like as his purple-green hues studied the way Ameri's lips curled and stretched, drawing her lips in beautiful shapes that had the novelist infatuated as her spiel continued only to fall on deaf ears. As much as he enjoyed teasing his editor, the feelings he had for her had been ultimately genuine, remaining heavily guarded behind a plaster wall of lies and deceit.

A dulcet hum rose from the back of his throat, boot-clad feet leading him towards the redhead to close the distance between their bodies. Tilting Ameri's chin upwards with delicate fingers, Gentaro's thumb ghosted across her bottom lip as his own lips laid against his in a kiss so fragile he feared too much pressure would break. His eyes fluttered closed, long lashes dusting across flushed cheekbones, swallowing the surprised gasp that tendered from her lips as his deceitful tongue made its way past her defenses, drawing her deeper into a orchestral crescendo.

"I love you," Those words had ghosted across Ameri's lips milliseconds before Gentaro broke the kiss, his eyes sliding back open to stare at the face of the dazed, crimson-tinted woman inches from him. His mouth curled upwards into a coy smile, thumb idly brushing against the curve of her jaw, watching goosebumps dance along her skin, struggling to suppress the shiver that ran over her being.

"Gentaro..." Her tongue felt heavy in her mouth, red-teal hues glossing over with an unreadable expression.

"And that isn't a lie."
