Just a bit of word vomit on how the type of ghost Chance is works.

About the kind of ghost Chance is.
Similar in nature to poltergeists, these ghosts have a physical form thanks to a strong attachment to a physical object. They can’t stray far from this object without losing their form. Destroying this object will force the ghost to move on, while damaging it weakens the ghost. Common objects include houses, mirrors, photographs, and wedding rings. It is rare, but not unheard of for their object of attachment to change.
They seem capable of going intangible at will, but most prefer to stick to a physical form entirely. (Especially those with smaller objects of attachment, as going intangible forces them to drop the object.) Not unlike a poltergeist, most are capable of moving or otherwise levitating objects, though it seems difficult for them to do this while maintaining a physical form. They also can’t necessarily control where the objects go.
The strength of their powers depends on the size of an object (e.g. A ghost with an attachment to a house is significantly stronger than one attached to a ring) They seem capable of feeling pain, and have varying levels of regeneration, again, tied to the size of their object. Ghosts with smaller objects, when their form is damaged enough, may simply prefer to go de-materialize, and reform after a while to restore their form, rather than wait for it to regenerate. This can be risky, as mentioned above it requires them to drop their object.
They do not need to eat or sleep with their physical form, but some do anyway, even if only to pull off a facade of being alive.
Their emotions are amplified compared to how they were when alive though the degree varies from ghost to ghost. This could elevate a fear of being alone or of losing someone into intense jealousy. Most also have an intense desire to try and live their lives as normal, or at the very least to pass themselves off as still alive. Because of their nature, almost all of them have a deep-seated bitterness, even if it doesn’t come across as blatantly obvious.
Destroying their object is not the only way to get rid of this sort of ghost. Many other methods used to deal with more traditional ghosts will work on them as well.
Due to the violent nature of their deaths, they’re drawn to death and bloodshed, even if they themselves aren’t violent.
