[RP] Rain Roleplays

Eri: Kelda was tired, feeling exhausted as she moved her muscular body across the rocky terrain. Her depression was not getting any better so to avoid re-entering a lethargic stage in her cave she decided to go to work exceptionally hard these days.

The fatigue she felt was physical and mental, she had been exaggerating her time of service for two days to avoid going home. As always, the silence before sleeping made her have terrible thoughts that revived bad memories.

Working on her rounds was definitely better than moping alone in her cave, but from walking around the territory looking for troublemakers was already affecting her body. Her paws stung as she walked for some reason, but she was too busy to check and see what was going on.

PeppaNova: Rain was resting under the shade of her cave, Keeping out of the blistering sun, but also making sure she was easy to find. This weather was strange. Usually she'd have to worry about colds and frostbite. Now she had to worry about heatstroke and over-heating in her fellow mountain cats. At least the melted ice helped with cooling people off. But Ice would only last so long.

All she could hope was that this surprise heat wave would be over soon. It was already hard enough the get the bandits to listen to her as it was, this was just making it worse.

She absentmindedly watched as Kelda walked around the territory, before squinting a bit at the ground behind her. It was hard to see, but Rain swore she saw a slight red tinge to the ground. It could've been her imagination, but she had to check.

"Kelda!" Rain called out to the deputy, standing up and poking her head out of her den. "Do you mind coming over here, please?"

Eri: 'I'm getting there!"

Kelda responded promptly as she ran towards her, she had to be quick as usual after all this place was unpredictable, who knows what could be going on?

By this time her paws were throbbing with pain, but she continued until she reached the entrance of the cave.

"Did something happened?" The giant said, looking around for troublemakers with a stern face.

PeppaNova: As soon as she stopped moving, Rain was by her side, Starring at her body. She circled her a few times, noting where each scar was on her body, and anything she'd need to have a close eye on.

"What? Oh, no. Nothing happened to me. But you're walking funny, and you haven't come for your check up yet." Rain nodded, before pushing her head against Kelda's rump, maneuvering her inside the medical cave.

"So, We're going to do you check up now"

She sat Kelda down in her den, lifting up her front paw, feeling the arm from the top to the bottom, Before getting to her paw pads. They were read, and the pads had began to crack.

"Kelda, How much are you resting?"

Eri: "Oh. Right." Kelda said letting herself be touched awkwardly by the doctor, she felt ticklish easily. "Good to know...Hey wait!" And so she was ushered into her medical cave before she knew it.

"Really? Now? Hm...Okay." The gentle giant said, feeling defeated. "It shouldn't be anything to worry about, i'm fine, really." She said casually letting out a tired sigh .

When Rain touched her paw pads Kelda flinched a little. "Hmm. Not much?" She replied vaguely as she avoided looking at the doctor.

PeppaNova: "Cracked paw pads that are starting to bleed are not fine" Rain stated sharply, As she placed the one paw down and looked at the other. Ot was the same. The rocky terrain and the constant movement had worn down on the pads. As Kelda answered her next question, Rain nodded her head.

"Alright, that's all the information I need".

And with that, Rain was at the back of her cave, grabbing bundles of herbs and poultice's that she had concocted up. she walked over to the other side of her den, where makeshift beds had been made up out of soft materials that Rain had managed to find around the territory. Pelts of the animals from the farm, and anything else soft.

Coming back over to Kelda, Rain nudged her lightly over to the beds.

"Over here, please. If you lie down you'll be comfy, and I can treat all your paw pads without you messing up your paws."

Eri: Kelda just quietly listened to the scolding, not agreeing or complaining, after all she knew she was wrong to neglect herself to that extent.

"Okay...."The big cat then began to walk awkwardly to the other side of her den, where makeshift were.

Kelda lay down and watched Rain work "Er...How bad is it?" She asked with a nervous look on her face.

PeppaNova: Rain waited for Kelda to lie down, Before going to work. She crushed up herbs, turning them into a cold goo, that she then scopped up, Rubbing it into Kelda's paw pads. "It may sting, But not as much as your paws probably already do" Rain sighed.

She continued to massage the goo into all of Kelda's paws, Making sure all the cracks where covered.

"You'll be able to walk still, if that's what you're worried about" Rain stated, As she finished the last paw. She then lightly placed it down on the ground. "You wore them down a lot though. You'll need to stay here and rest until I'm happy with your healing"

She began to pack her things away, heading towards the back of the den. she shuffled around, Before finding what she was looking for, Walking back over to Kelda.

"This is Valerian. It's a flower that grows down in the fields. It will help you to relax." She stated, placing it in front of Kelda.

"Eat it, please"

Eri: "Hm... Right." Kelda responded begrudgingly. "Thanks, doc."

The brownish cat caught the flower with its big paw. "Valerian. Beautiful name for a flower." Kelda said with a smile before chewing the flower, grimacing at the new unpleasant taste.

Herbivores are weird. She thought as she looked at her own paw. "I wonder how they manage to eat plants all the time."

She looked around. "Rest?! But doctor... Several things are happening right now, I can't stop my work like that."
