He placed the cup down, coffee nearly escaping out of its containment, one leg swinging over the other on the desk as he leaned back, hands behind head.


“Listen, humans and us alike are simple creatures- if you wanna befriend someone, be friendly, do what they want for a bit and that'll be it.” He waved his hand dismissively, eyes rolling as a smirk found its way to his face.

Gretel watched on with a bored look, looking at Hansel with a look that said everything.


“Says someone like you.” Kandar snickered with a snide grin, dark eyes looking at the man.


Hansel scoffed, grin disappearing. He had friends- and his theories were perfectly functional, it was a thesis.


“I mean- what friends do you have?” The orange-like code knocked him out of his thoughts.


He scowled at the boy “Gretel.”


“Obviously, besides it?”


“...”


“Dont call her an it.”


“Thats what i thought.” Kandar smiled, clasping their hands together as they stood up “Youre just a lonely old man” they shrugged with a smug demeanor, walking out the door “Its no wonder no one likes you..” They grumbled under their breath.

His arms crossed, expression darkening and eyebrows furrowing with thought. Gretel watched on in a questioning look.

He looked at her, staring for a second before a sigh escaped his lips, raising his hands defensively “Whatever…” he took his feet off the table, barely not knocking the cup off by millimeters.
