my concept ramblings on discord of the start setting for post-totk where zelda discovers that link has mysteriously vanished. may or not be turned into prose later
post totk rune in the outdoors convention would be kinda fire actually....
he just got reunited with his best friend again after she went missing in time and now HE goes missing in time
like can you just imagine it
"i wont ever leave your side again trust" [gets pulled through a time paradox
he was worried sick searching for her and now shes worried sick looking for him 💀
oh my god
outdoors convention botk zelda would be so fucking fire tho
even though she was separated from link while fighting the calamity and being trapped in the past at least she knew that he would be okay eventually
but now she has no idea where he is

catching zelda
finally being reunited
zelda sees that hes ok
other than his arm disintegrating into like nothingness whatever
but hes surprisingly cope with that
and he promises to never leave her again
and that he'll stay by her side if she needs him
and then they spend like
a month just reaclimating
helping the people affected by the upheaval
and then one day she wakes up
and she sees the door open
link's shoes are gone but most of his gear is still in the house
it's raining
there's footsteps leading outside
they're almost completely washed away
she runs after them
and they suddenly stop in the path
its fine
thats ok
maybe he teleported
or flew up
but that doesnt answer why the door is still open
he doesn't return later that day
the villagers haven't seen him
the guys at lookout landing said he didn't show up
purah tries to track the purah pad but its gone
completely disapperaed off the map
and for the first time in a hundred years zelda has never felt more dread
and thus we begin: princess zelda's search for her idiot notboyfriend
has he killed himself gotten lost gotten time traveled? who knows! the possibilities are endless!
